Chapter 38: Only Know Seven Up is a Drink_1

Basil Jaak told Everett to wake him up in half an hour, however, Everett naturally didn't follow this order obediently. When Basil Jaak woke up from his sleep, two hours had already passed.

"This kid!" Basil Jaak couldn't help but chuckle at Everett's disobedience, he got down from the bed and walked out of his room.

Only Lydia White was in the living room watching TV. Perhaps afraid of disturbing Basil Jaak, she had kept the volume very low. Lydia White frowned and bit her lips from time to time, it was clear that she wasn't actually watching the TV.

"Did they all leave?" Basil Jaak sat down on the couch next to Lydia White, habitually took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, and embarrassedly put it back in.

Lydia turned her gaze towards Basil Jaak and nodded, "My uncle and aunt went to work, Everett should be attending tuitions. Go ahead and smoke if you want, I will fetch an ashtray for you."
