When Basil Jaak arrived at Comfort Hot Pot City, Kayson and the others had just got there, conveniently encountering each other at the entrance.

"Humph, we were waiting for you to pick us up, I didn't expect you to leave before us." Kayson seemed rather displeased that Basil Jaak didn't return to the company to pick them up.

Basal shrugged, indicating his helplessness: "I had a contract signing this afternoon. By the time I finished, it was almost time. Since I am closer on this end, I took a taxi over."

"Humph!" Kayson huffed and didn't say anything else. Amanda stepped in to mediate, "Don't listen to Kayson, she's just deliberately nitpicking."

How could Basil not notice Kayson was deliberately nitpicking? He shrugged offhandedly, smiled indifferently, and keeping his comments to a minimum when dealing with Kayson, who was outwardly cold but warm-hearted. He asked Amanda, "Did anything happen with Mr. Flack this afternoon?"
