Chapter 110: Just Friends _1

With his hand held by Xenia Wendleton's soft and boneless fingers, Basil Jaak felt an indescribable pleasure. It felt like he was sitting on a cloud or swimming deep in the sea.

However, this feeling didn't last. When Xenia let go of his hand, Basil felt a kind of loss.

"Basil, let's grab a taxi!" Xenia called out to him.

Basil walked straight to the Highlander parked at the entrance of the neighborhood and took his car keys out of his pocket. With a press towards the car, the headlights flashed and the car doors unlocked automatically.

Basil opened the car door and shouted to Xenia: "Miss Xenia Wendleton, please!"

Xenia seemed slightly surprised, but soon chuckled, asking as she approached, "Is this your car?"

"I borrowed it from a friend." Basil initially intended to ask her what she thought of the car, but seeing her lack of reaction after the initial surprise, it was clear that the car didn't impress her. Thus, he decided to omit his initial question and let her get in.
