Basil Jaak hung up the phone and turned to Xenia Wendleton with a wry smile, "I was planning on going with you to buy a computer this afternoon, but as you can see..."

Xenia had been standing near Basil Jaak and heard everything when Debby Sutton called him. She knew he had something important to do this afternoon, so she smiled understandingly, "That's okay. I can buy a computer anytime. If you have something important to take care of, you should go do that."

Basil Jaak grinned, relieved, "Thank you for understanding! It's almost time for dinner. Let me treat you to a meal."

"Sounds great, I want McDonald's!" Xenia happily responded.

"Sir, how many are in your party?" The waiter enthusiastically asked.

"I've already set a meeting with someone. She's a long-haired beauty and easy to recognize. Has she arrived yet?" Basil Jaak, aware of women's tendency to be late, asked on purpose.
