"Basil Jaak didn't linger too long at Jessica Flack's home. After dinner, he got up to leave shortly after finishing the fruit platter for dessert.


"I'll arrange for someone to drive you home," said Jessica Flack.


Basil Jaak shook his head, "No need, I'll just take a cab."


"It's hard to hail a cab from here. If you're not comfortable with someone driving you, you can take my car. You can return it to the company whenever you have time tomorrow." Jessica Flack pulled out a car key from her purse and handed it to Basil Jaak.


Basil Jaak hesitated for a moment before accepting the key. He nodded and said, "Thank you."


Jessica Flack saw him off to the garage and then asked, "Are you really not willing to come back to the company?"


"Thanks for your kind offer, Mr. Flack. But, I think I need a break before I make my next move." Basil Jaak left room for reconsideration. It would be difficult for him to find a decent job locally with his current qualifications.
