Basil shrugged nonchalantly, responding offhandedly, "What could be going on between us? We're just ordinary friends."


"Then why is she so anxious about you? I don't think it's so 'ordinary'," Ghost laughed, his eyebrows raised playfully.


"She's just being polite. You're overthinking it."


"Then why did you invite her for dinner?"


Talking about this, Basil looked gloomy and smiled bitterly, "I casually mentioned it, and did not expect her to actually accept. I still don't know where to take her for dinner."


"Keep pretending! Boss, your lie lacks credibility." Ghost shakes his head.


"I didn't lie at all!" Basil glared at Ghost, speaking crankily, "If you don't believe me, you can come along."
