Basil Jaak walked to the window with his mobile phone and answered Xenia Wendleton's call.


"Hello, how's your networking going?" Basil Jaak joked.

Basil Jaak asked curiously, "Did she reject you?"


"Not exactly, but I could tell that she's just humoring me. She made up an excuse to leave after barely touching her food." Xenia Wendleton said disappointedly.


"If she didn't completely reject you, there's still a chance." Basil Jaak tried to comfort her. "Don't worry for now, let me come back and we can figure out what you could have done better."


"Then you should come back soon." On hearing this, Xenia Wendleton couldn't help but urge Basil Jaak.


"I'm having dinner with friends at the moment, I might not be able to return just yet. You will have to wait till I'm back." Basil Jaak replied.
