Chapter 13: A Thousand Years of Calamity in _1

Fenny Marshall hopped onto the speedboat, driving it without hesitation toward the point of the recent explosion.

However, before she could reach the scene of the incident, she heard people on the shore exclaiming in unison, "Quick, look, he's not dead, he's still alive!"

That's right, Basil Jaak was not dead. He had jumped into the sea before the speedboat exploded. A flying piece of debris merely scraped his shoulder, causing no severe damage.

The red blood floating on the surface of the water was left by the great white shark.

Apparently, the great white shark had been unable to retreat before the explosion of the speedboat, and was hit by the powerful shockwave, sinking to the seabed.

Fenny caught sight of Basil's head breaking the water's surface, letting out a a deep sigh of relief. The gloomy sky was suddenly filled with brilliant sunlight again, and her world was illuminated.
