Chapter 32 Is it there?!_1

Basil Jaak had been missing for three days. Despite Bruce's Herculean efforts, he could not be found. By this point, almost everyone was convinced that Jaak had fallen into the sea and drowned.

Only Debby Sutton was still holding on alone, stubbornly believing that Basil Jaak was still alive.

"Betsy, though Little Jaak is a good boy, he's already..." Mrs. Sutton choked on her words, sobbing uncontrollably. But for Debby's sake, she had to put on the role of a mother, comforting her, "Your father and your sister have been calling us many times to come back home. We can't stay in Australia any longer."

Debby Sutton understood Mrs. Sutton's concern. She wanted to distract Debby's attention to help her move on from her grief and start a normal life again. But she simply didn't know what was going on inside Debby's heart. In her heart, Basil Jaak was not dead, definitely not.

Debby Sutton held her mother's hand and said softly, "Mom, let's go home tomorrow."
