Chapter 36: A Narrow Escape from Death_1

Fenny Marshall loosened the ropes on her body, looking at Basil Jaak and Caroline with a sour and complicated expression. However, she ultimately didn't say anything, merely clicking her tongue lightly.

"Done!" Caroline looked at her handiwork, gently wiping the sweat from her forehead, and jokingly smiled at Fenny Marshall, "Don't misunderstand, I was just being a doctor, helping him with his injuries."

Normally, with her arrogant personality, Caroline would never explain herself. However, for some reason, when faced with Fenny Marshall's resentful gaze, she felt uneasy, as if she had stolen something from her.

"Could it be guilt from doing something wrong?" Caroline thought to herself, before her eyes once again found Basil Jaak, causing an inexplicable sense of panic.

Unbeknownst to her, this action did not escape Fenny Marshall's eyes. Fenny Marshall grew even more frustrated, grumpily said, "Well, thank you for treating my boyfriend's injuries."
