Chapter 135: Let the Ambulance Fly_1

Basil Jaak burst into the library, seeing Dawn Sutton lying in a pool of blood, a thunderbolt hit him out of the blue. His heart clenched and without any second thought, he pushed through the crowd.

Basil Jaak was not a doctor, but he knew basic first aid. He quickly knelt down, tore clothes from his own body, and used the strips of fabric to dress Dawn's wounds, preventing her from going into shock from excessive blood loss.

"Bas... Basil!" Dawn Sutton stirred back to consciousness, struggling to move her lips and emit a faint sound.

Basil reached out and held Dawn's hand, whispering softly, "I'm here!".

Dawn's face was as pale as paper. Her breathing became more and more difficult, as if every word uttered was sucking the energy out of her body. "Bas... Basil, do... do you think... will I... die?"
