"No thoughts allowed?"
Basil Jaak felt a wave of frustration wash over him, but he soon chuckled and said, "Police Officer Astir, I'm not just anyone, heh heh. We've been together for so long, you know my character."
Yetta Astir harrumphed, "It's because I know your character that I'm warning you! Humph, you're not just anyone, but when you are, you're not human!"
I'm not human, then what am I? Could it be that I'm a beast? If I were indeed a beast, I'd have to be one to you tonight.
Yetta Astir stood up, bent over beside the bed, and scrutinized the quality of the sheets and blanket, even bringing her delicate nose close to take a careful whiff. She complained, "This room costs 2000 a night? I wouldn't stay here even if it were 2 bucks or free! Humph, that landlord must be that swindler, Delia!"
Basil Jaak couldn't help but laugh as he watched Yetta grumbling and cursing. She's practically a hunting dog!
