Yetta spoke, and Basil Jaak's gaze shifted toward the small wooden table in the room. Indeed, there was a small box under which seemed to lie an envelope.
"Is it left for me by her?" Basil asked curiously.
"What, are you surprised? Or could it be she left a letter to settle scores with you after you took advantage of her?" Yetta teased.
However, from Basil's expression, Yetta could tell that he most likely harbored feelings for Kitty More. She hesitated for a moment before bringing the small box and the envelope over to Basil.
"Should I leave while you open it?" Yetta asked, somewhat jealously.
Basil gave her a look but didn't respond. Instead, he painfully shifted his body on the bed and opened the box.
Yetta didn't walk away, so as Basil opened the box, she verbally claimed not to be curious, but her head couldn't help but lean in closer.
Inside the box was a blue-green stone resembling a Ruyi scepter.
"Is she giving me a piece of jade? What does this mean?"
