Li Yifei left his company but didn't go home; he was still concerned about Michelle. He wasn't sure if she was sad, but he could tell that today's events had greatly affected her.
He pulled out his phone and dialed Michelle's number. When the call connected, Li Yifei breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that Michelle hadn't turned off her phone—that would have worried him even more.
After a few rings, Michelle's voice came through, shaky, "Li… Brother Li."
"Michelle, where are you right now?"
"I… I'm on the street."
Hearing the tremble in Michelle's voice and the sound of the wind outside, Li Yifei felt a pang in his heart and said softly, "How about we have dinner together? I haven't had hot pot in a long time. Let's go for hot pot."
Michelle went silent for a bit before responding softly, "Okay."
"Great, I'll drive over to pick you up now. Just tell me where you are."
