The City of Buddhism.
The City of Angels.
The Venice of the East.
The second-largest city in Southeast Asia.
These are the descriptions people give to Bangkok.
As the capital city of Thailand, Bangkok not only serves as Thailand's political, economic, cultural, educational, and transport hub, but also one of the world centers for international activities, hosting hundreds of international conferences each year. The city is home to the headquarters of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the World Bank, many international health organizations, the International Labour Organisation, and the regional offices of over 20 international institutions.
Just like countless other cities, there are gorgeous parts to it, but alongside them, there also lie darker shades.
Ironically enough, Bangkok, known as "The City of Angels," holds considerable weight in the underworld.
