The second week, he discovered he could hear others' inner voices, uncontrollable. Whatever they thought, they would continuously pour into his head, keeping him from daring to visit places like subways and shopping malls. Moreover, he no longer dared to directly look at the girl with bangs sitting in the back seat who usually kept quiet...

After Chen Yuan came in, he went over to her side to help with some tasks in the kitchen within his capabilities.


"It's quite cold outside today, how about we go buy some winter clothes sometime?" Chen Yuan suggested while slicing potatoes.


"Ah? I have clothes to wear in winter, I don't have anything I want to buy... but I can go with you to shop," Xia Xinyu replied with a smile.


As expected, with Xinyu's personality, she wouldn't really want to buy new clothes.


Plus, she would use her school uniform as an excuse.


"And the winter school uniform is pretty warm too, I spend most of the time at school, so there aren't many occasions to wear anything else," Xia Xinyu added.


"Alright then, I don't really have anything I want to buy either."


Even though he agreed, Chen Yuan still thought that he should at least get Xia Xinyu a down jacket, a cotton coat, a pair of boots, and two pairs of fluffy white cat socks...
