As night fell, Cheng Dalei took a break beside a small lake. The two of them had walked a long road enveloped in dust. Cheng Dalei bore it well enough, but Li Waner, having had a pampered upbringing, couldn't handle it as well.


Cheng Dalei first took a bath and changed his clothes at the shore, while Li Waner hid herself inside the horse carriage.
