stay over

After their afternoon talk both Evan and Lucas went back to their duties.

In the late evening when both finished their work Evan went to the cafe to pick up Lucas .

How was your day Lucas you look so tired. Evan asked worried.

Hmm,there were a lot of customers today ,Lucas said pretending to collapse on Evan's shoulder.

Let me carry your bag then, Evan said taking the bag from him .

Okay ,i am freaking tired ,Lucas said shaking his head.

Lucas,can i ask you something? Evan asked consciously.

Yes ,what is it,Lucas said walking tiredly.

Why do you work at coffee shop that too such a long shift from morning 08:00 a.m to 09:00 p.m . knowing that you can't work much and will be exhausted .Evan asked trying not to go overboard with his question.

Lucas looked at him but didn't say anything for a moment and then said taking a deep sigh.

Of course because I want to eat and have a roof over my head.

Evan was about to say something when they reached Lucas building .

Lucas looked at him and said .

Wanna come up for a meal ,Lucas was still in the middle of his sentence when Evan immediately walked towards his building entrance and said.

Yes,i wanna go to your place ,i was waiting for you to invite me .Evan said giddily.

You are such a .....let it be let's go .Lucas said and walked towards Evan ,he held his hand and said.

Let's go, Lucas said and they both went to his apartment.

It is simple apartment,with a room ,a bathroom,kitchen and a small living room, the apartment is quite clean and neat with everything arranged perfectly.

You can look around till then i will make us a meal.lucas said going towards kitchen.

I can help you ,Evan said following him.

Do You know how to cook? Lucas asked his arms crossed over his chest.

Evan smiled awkwardly at the question and shook his head .

So ?Lucas asked shortly raising an eyebrow.

I will look around then ,Evan said and left the kitchen.

He looked at the pictures of Lucas on the wall ,his high school achievement certificates and awards.

After half an hour Lucas called him ,

Evan , dinner is ready ,he called.

Coming ,Evan answered shortly and went to the dinning table and sat in his chair looking at the food on the table he smiled widely.

You know what Lucas .Evan said his happiness increasing with every passing second.

What , Lucas asked amused as he saw how happy Evan is.

Gai pad Med Ma Muang is my favourite dish , if I can I will eat it for all the three meals of the day , Evan said taking the food from the bowl and serving it into his plate.

Okay ,go ahead and eat then , Lucas said shaking his head.

Do you like it , Lucas asked after a short while taking a bite of the food.

Yes , it's delicious , Evan answered continuing to eat not looking up at Lucas.

You eat like a pig , Lucas remarked smiling.

I don't mind , think whatever you want right now I want to concentrate on my food and food only . Evan answered chewing on the chicken .

After the dinner Evan insisted on doing the dishes so Lucas let him do it.

After Evan was done washing the dishes both sat on the small couch in the living room with cans of beers in their hands.

Lucas , when I was looking around earlier I saw a lot of pictures of you but there were none of your family. Evan said casually.

Yeah , there are no pictures of my family because they don't exist , Lucas answered.

What do you mean , did something happen to your family , Evan asked now attentive.

I am an orphan I was raised in an orphanage from the earliest I can remember , so I don't really know , Lucas answered uninterstedly .

I .. i am sorry Lucas , i didn't know that .. Evan said feeling an inexplicable pain in his heart knowing that his Lucas had no one in the world.

It doesn't matter , i am living the best of my life so I don't really give a shit about having parents or not . Lucas said sneering.

Augh talking about parents let me call my parents to inform them that I will stay over at your place tonight , Lucas stated taking his phone from the pocket of his jacket.

Who said you are staying here , Lucas asked flustered.

Why not , it's late I can't go back home now and I always stay over at my friends place so I am going to stay here tonight , Evan said innocently.

No ,you are not going to stay here , get up and get going already , Lucas said and signed Evan to get up from the sofa.

You are so cruel, how am I going to go home at this time , it's so late and dark outside , Evan said in a protest wanting to stay the night at Lucas's place.

Just call home and ask your driver to pick you up, go, Lucas said not buying any excuse from Evan.

Evan pouted and walked to the door to leave but he was still on the door when Lucas called him , Evan got happy and thought Lucas was telling him to stay.

What , Evan asked trying to hold his smile.

Here ,you forgot your phone and this beer too take it with yourself before leaving .Lucas said and slammed the door on Evan's face.

I know ,what you are trying to do , you sly fox , Lucas thought and went to his room.

Too bad he does not buy any of my excuses or words ,Evan thought and went down the building and called his driver to pick him up .
