Sidekick, or a kick to the side?

[Time skip: a couple of weeks]
["Arashi-kun! We have a situation at (----), a bank robbery teehee!"]
"You don't add a 'teehee' to make a sentence less morbid, Mountain lady!" I barked at her while flying between trying to arrive on location. It felt like I had to babysit EdgeShot's rookies.
"Alright everyone get your hands in the air. And open the register!" I could already hear the robber shout out, without wasting a moment I dove straight down and smashed through the window
"Sh*t kill him!" The robber shouted out to his... Subordinates? Is he schizophrenic? I ignored his crazy man's speech as he spoke to the walls. Instead, I punched him in the jaw sending I'm over the counter, unfortunately, his gun fired in his hands and the bullet almost hit a pedestrian.
"They don't pay me enough for this sh**" I muttered in annoyance as I walked around the counter, to restrain the robber however, before I could get close I felt an impact to the back of my head
*Bang*
Turning my gaze I saw a dented metal pipe floating in the air, shivering in fright...
"Congrats... What now" I asked the invisible guy, it seems his invisibility is more powerful than Hagakure's but it doesn't actually bend light thus making him unable to make laser attacks. Shame...
As soon as the robber realized he was screwed he dropped the metal pipe and began running away, hoping his invisibility will make me lose track of him. Unfortunately, I had already secured the perimeter. I stared at him trying to escape before he disappeared into my subspace... They never expect me to just place smoke in advance huh...
"They definitely don't pay me enough for this sh*t" I continued, now carrying a robber on my shoulder and an invisible guy in my subspace I exited the store only to be confronted by multiple policemen pointing their guns at me.
"Hands in the air! NOW!" The police officer shouted while aiming the gun straight at me. Are they thinking I am holding them hostage?
"Oui! I'm a hero! I just arrested this not-so-law abiding citizen" I pointed at the unconscious robber on my shoulder however the officer still seemed apprehensive...
"Arashi-kun! Are you alright!" I heard a feminine voice followed by the sounds of rumbling and immediately knew things were about to get a whole lot worse.
Turning my gaze I could see Mountain Lady running towards me, in her giant form, Of course not forgetting to put potholes in the roads...
"Oui! Stop running around in your giant form! Collateral-damage Lady!"
"Ehh? How am I supposed to arrive fast if I'm not in it?" Mountain Lady pouted while returning to normal size, the police officer froze in place realizing he was being ignored
"You can just run! Or use a car. Sheesh you have no idea how much pay is being deducted just because you decide to flatten a building chasing after a lost dog"
"M-my pay is being deducted?!?!" I facepalmed at Mountain Lady's stupidity. Her face was now painted with betrayal, pulling out her phone she dialed a number
"EdgeShot-sannn!!!!! You're deducting my pay?" Mountain Lady shouted into the phone like a toddler who didn't get their candy
["I'm a bit busy... But yes--- dodge better-- ahem... You create too much collateral damage, we have to compensate them somehow---"]
The call was cut with the sounds of the earth rumbling on the other side. Mountain Lady just seemed out of it as she stared at the screen.
"What happened to her?" I jumped back in surprise as Kamui Woods stood behind me, for a stickman he can sneak really well
"Oh nothing, she just found out about how the world works" I huffed a bit, but Kamui wasn't listening at all, his gaze lingered on Mountain Lady as if enchanted...
"Dude, I don't judge but she's definitely not worth it" I elbowed his side snapping him out of his thoughts, immediately after realizing what I just said his cheeks turned pink... Which is strange because he was wearing a mask... Anime logic I swear...

"So that's how my week went... I swear she's a pain in the a**" I leaned back on the stool. Swishing around my non-alcoholic drink.
"Cool story and all... But why did you bring me to the bar? We're minors" Jiro asked while looking around... Even the bartender stared at us like weirdos.
"Gosh stop reminding me your a minor..." I massaged the bridge of my nose as guilt welled up in me, but Jiro just snapped
"You're a damn minor too! Stop acting like a fully grown man! You. Aren't. Going. To. Jail!" Jiro slammed the table while saying each word slowly, the quiet bar went even quieter.
"I f*cking love you Kyouka! Gimme a damn kiss!" I teared up while trying to catch Jiro, however she pushed me back with a scolding expression. I felt her pull on my cheek
"Language mister"
"...f.... Fuu you..."
Seeing as I already publicly embarrassed myself I drank my drink in quiet as Jiro played on her phone... Why did I even bring her to the bar... Just an atmosphere thing..?
"Oh right I didn't ask, but how are your work studies going?" I asked Jiro, to my annoyance Jiro didn't get much screen time in the anime thus not giving much info about her basically forcing me to guess... And I despise guessing.
"Oh, it was actually kinda fun! I got an invitation from EdgeShot, he taught me how to fight and do investigation stuff!... Ah right, I had like a secret mission last week!" Jiro began going in on how her mission went, however, all I heard was the noise of my ears ringing
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Why did you suddenly go quiet?" Jiro stared at my deadpan expression with confusion. I had assumed she knew I technically worked for EdgeShot as well...
"You get taught by EdgeShot while he dumps babysitting his rookies on me!?!? This is complete b*llsh*t"
"Ehhh? You work for EdgeShot too?!?!"

"Your punches need more force behind them" EdgeShot fixed Jiro's posture in an attempt to get her more used to punching right, unfortunately she wasn't talented like Rimuru and thus needed much more explaining
"You rotate your hips" EdgeShot again said, but Jiro who was already covered in sweat just sneered in annoyance
"I'm trying!" Jiro tried again and again but she eventually got the hang of it. Instead of just rotating your hips she realized she also needed to use her legs, as the leg muscles connected to the pelvis...
Raising her head to get affirmation from EdgeShot her expression suddenly fell.
Meanwhile, EdgeShot who was overseeing Jiro finally sighed in relief seeing Jiro get the hang of it. However soon his instincts began flaring. But before he could do anything about it he felt a kick land on his side.
With barely any resistance EdgeShot was sent flying back, luckily he managed to stabilize himself and land safely. Preparing for combat he immediately went to analyze his opponen--
"It's been a while EdgeShot... Could help but notice you've been dumping your responsibilities on me" Rimuru landed back, his eyes flaring like flames... But this time the glow was real... Since when did Rimuru's eyes glow?---
"Listen Arashi, I have things to take care of" EdgeShot crossed his arms trying to explain why he neglected his responsibility. While EdgeShot might seem like a workaholic stiff rule-stickler he was actually much different...
"Things to take care of? You mean 'training' my girlfriend?" Rimuru put quotes on the worst word but nevertheless, his anger was palpable.
"She's your girlfriend? Never mind I also have to assist a friend! Sir Nighteye's sidekick has gotten himself into trouble" EdgeShot raised his hands in surrender however his words interested Rimuru. Calming down Rimuru approached EdgeShot
"What happened?"
Seeing Rimuru now calm EdgeShot sighed in relief before starting to talk.

"Sir Nighteye's sidekick, Midoriya was arrested for trying to kidnap a small child...."
EdgeShot's words made me freeze in place, I then realized I completely forgotten about the plot of the correct act...
'dammit, you get p*ssy once and you forget the world is under threat...' I facepalmed before focusing on EdgeShot's words... How did Midoriya even get arrested? I never thought Kai Chisaki was a law abiding citizen
.. well he isn't but you get my point..
*Ring Ring Ring*
Our conversation was cut short as EdgeShot pulled out his ringing phone, answering the call his face morphed into concern.
"You two, come with me... We have a slight emergency... Rimuru, call Mountain Lady and Kamui Woods as well" I stopped in my tracks as my anger now resurfaced.
"You have a phone in your hands! Do it yourself!"
