blackwood village 2

Raven now had a better grasp of the geopolitical climate of this lower world, the top levels of power of this world were the god angel, human god and Evil god, and they had been locked in conflict with the Evil god close to loosing.

Vampires and night creatures were hidden in shadows, caves and underground strongholds recuperating their strength and slowly trying to defend against human adventurers and angels attacking.

A relatively safe world for a start, looking into what he needed the most right now, Raven decided that he would need to act like a human learn a profession if possible, gather followers loyal only to him and invade the dwellings of night creatures.

For now, he would need a map.

Raven turned his attention back to the conversation he was still having with the human merchant : Bruce, do you have a relatively complete Map.

Bruce said, scratching the back of his head : As a merchant a Good mad is one of the necessary items to have, but good maps are very expensive even to copy.

Raven : don't worry just show me the map and I would take care of the copying, and don't forget that i saved your wife's sister you still owe me one.

The two guys put an end to this man to man walk and turned back to the house, they had found out that Ase and her sister had already finished their talk and were waiting for them.

Ase inquired what they had talked about, and Raven told her that Bruce was trying to repay him by providing much needed information and a map, Bruce shortly came back with a map detailing the exact position of blackwood village, blackwood forest, the Rocky Mountains behind it and many other territories.

Raven placed his hand on the mad and using celestial every he created a copy of it using a combination of two spells, create paper spell and engrave details spell, the way engrave details worked was that it was a spell for angels to write details from their memories without any efforts either a map, a book a message or many other things.

Ase, Bruce and his wife were gobsmacked by the display of magical skills, Ase walked closer to inspect the map's only to find the one Raven had created was more refined and colorful,

Bruce on the Other hand turned to Raven with a conflicted face, " would you perhaps like to do business with me ", A small Shuckle had escaped Raven's mouth as he had expected this reaction, it was indeed one of the goals he was aiming at, wealth was also a type of power that could easily elevate his success chances.

Ase on the other hand was still confused as she had not felt any magical energy from Raven" are you also walking the path of a mage " Raven on the other hand was shaking his head " No, i am not yet a professional " this inturned started a new comotion in the small couples house.

" How ? " Was all Ase could say, " I have had these racial abilities from the day I was born, it has been that my father was some kind of powerful professional, Bruce then interjected " it is not unheard of, in very rare cases children of powerful humans inherit some of their powers even if they have a different profession " Bruce and his family were now looking at Raven with more than just sympathy and compassion, respect had started to decorate their faces.

To be the child of an absent human powerhouse, only hinted that your parents had probably sacrificed their lives in the protection of the human race.

Not long after, Raven and Bruce had come to an arrangement, Raven created 100 copies of the Map and sold them to for 30 silver coins each, Bruce would in turn make a big profit by selling these maps in all nearby villages,

Raven then inquired about the process to acquire a profession, Ase and Bruce explained that one would have to go to the temple pay a fine of 100 siver coins for the priest to use the Profession crystal on him, that way the most suitable profession crystal would be chosen for him.

Raven understood that every race had its own power system, but it would not hurt for him to accumulate enough power before his evolution, so soon enough Raven found himself in front of the small temple inside of Blackwood village.

Walking to the guarded gate under the eyes of two temple guards, " what is your purpose for visiting the temple, healing, profession awakening or advancement " one of burly guards asked.

" Profession awakening " responded Raven keeping it short, he was soon escorted by a young shrine maiden to the deepest parts of the temple close to a human sculpture of the god of light, the maiden spoke " respect priest we have a visitor here to awaken his profession, the toll has already been paid "

From behind the sculpture light started to shine and an old man in priest robes emerged, these humans had a thing for theatrics, Raven understood that this was their attempt at gathering faith for the human god " Hello young man, are you here to awaken your profession ? " the old man showed a kind smile to Raven and then directly answered his own question.

" Of course you are, the process of awakening is very simple, these awakening Crystals Gifted by the God of light and the great Angel God only need you to hold unto them while we activate them " said the priest while handing Raven a transparent crystal with white light inside of it.

As soon as Raven held into the Crystal, his celestial energy invaded the crystal, time stopped around him and his bronze armor materialized, his wings instinctively stretched from behind his back :

The celestial consciousness had invaded the awakening crystal and activated it for him without the priests and temples meddling, Looking into all the professions suitable for him, Raven soon settled for the Battle Warlock profession, a profession unlike the Battle mage,

Where the Battle mage would need to accumulate magic and martial prowess to fight as a magician capable of knightly prowess, the Battle warlock would focus on generating his own unique energy by cultivating a strong body and internal energy almost like a Berserker capable of spells,

The celestial consciousness had aided Raven in bypassing the random profession method used by the temple, Raven was able to choose his own profession and the reason behind this choice was that the Battle Warlock profession was the Only profession that would aid raven in strengthening his Body, bloodline and celestial energy at the same time,

Once the choice made, time resumed as normal but the shrine maiden and the priest could not understand what happened as now in front of them instead of the young man stood an armored angel.

" It is by God's will " said Raven bullshiting his way out of this awkward situation he had created, turning back into his human form and white clothes

" I see, it is by God's will " said the priest, tiers dripping from his eyes and he knelt, holding the young maiden's hand and pulling her to kneel beside him.

" How can we serve " stated the priest, " give me one more of those awakening crystals " shamelessly ordered our dear protagonist.

He was soon out of the temple and going directly to the towns blacksmith for a small shopping visit, he got himself a black fur cloak, leather armor and a two handed heavy hammer that he held in one hand, he also got a sword and armor for Nemron,

While walking out of the blacksmith shop, Raven couldn't help but frown, one of the passing Villages had a vile smell on him, almost like a wet Dog, but the man looked clean and normal, using celestial energy Raven cast a reveal form spell on the man, only to trigger the transformation of the man into his true form.

The man turned into a hairy Dog headed humanoid creature, tall for a human but short for a werewolf, in his opinion, is this what a weredog looked like, The town's people screamed at the sight of a night creature masquerading as a human,

" You, you damn human scumm, you did this " The man dog said pointing at Raven, " dieee slave " said the creature going on all fours before jumping at Raven.

Not to be out done, Raven swiped his hammer at the Dog man thing, half expecting it to push the creature back while he focused on a theatrical battle to garner the village's attention and get some followers.

But things didn't always go as plan, his hammer crushed the Dog man thing's head, going through it like butter, its body recoiled back into the muddy street, from his other hand celestial fire ejected and started burning the creature's remains,

Soon hurried footsteps could be heard and guards, adventurers even the old priest from the temple emerged ready to purge the night creature.
