77. Attack

"Hey, Oven, don't act hastily! With Marine becoming more active, the situation in the New World is escalating!"

A steady voice emanated from a phone bug, its chin enveloped in a massive scarf.

"Katakuri, there's no need to worry. It's just Dressrosa. Since they refuse to offer dessert processing for mom, then I don't need to be polite," Oven reassured.

Oven, holding a phone bug in his hand, remained indifferent. With his strength, Dressrosa wouldn't pose a significant challenge. In the face of overwhelming power, the role of the army becomes inconsequential.

"Dressrosa is a member of the World Government. They will certainly request assistance from Marine!" Katakuri expressed some concern. The current situation in the New World is like a powder keg, just waiting for a spark to ignite. He doesn't want the Big Mom Pirates to be the spark.

Otherwise, his younger brothers and sisters will inevitably suffer significant casualties.

"Okay, Katakuri, that's settled. I'll surely present mom with a perfect gift!" Oven affirmed.

Cut~

After Oven finished speaking, he paid no heed to what Katakuri might think and hung up the phone abruptly.

"Damn it! Damn it!"

Katakuri discovered that the call had been abruptly ended. Immediately irritated, his expression darkened, and he harbored a foreboding sense in his heart.

"Come here! Prepare the ship, target: Dressrosa!" Katakuri commanded, his tone resolute.

...

Dressrosa, coastal port.

A medium-sized three-masted sailboat slowly docked along the coast. A pirate flag fluttered proudly atop the thick mast. The flag's background was predominantly black, featuring a design depicting a wavy-skulled figure adorned with a top hat and pink curly hair. What added a touch of humor was the fact that the skull's teeth were outlined with bright lipstick.

Certainly, if there were pirates from the New World present, they wouldn't laugh, for this pirate flag symbolized the rulers of the New World—the Big Mom Pirates!

"Quick! Head to King's Plateau and request King Riku to dispatch troops immediately!"

The guards stationed at the port promptly noticed the incoming pirate ship and swiftly initiated a rescue operation to alert the palace.

"How dare Dressrosa inform Marine! It seems necessary to teach them a lesson! Fire at will!"

Charlotte Oven glanced at the Marine-style warship also docked in the port and spoke with a somber expression.

"Hahahaha...yes! Sir Oven!"

"Really, how dare they defy the might of the Big Mom Pirates!"

All the pirates on the ship shouted.

Boom boom boom!

Huge cannonballs were unleashed from the pirate ship toward the warship. However, the Marines remaining aboard the warship weren't to be taken lightly, swiftly aligning the ship's cannons in response to the pirate threat.

Suddenly, gunfire erupted. Pirates from Oven's ship descended and clashed with the guards and Marines. The clamor of shouts and the thunderous roar of gunfire intertwined, creating an atmosphere saturated with the scent of gunpowder smoke.

Oven stood impassively on the bow of the boat, facing the endless sea. Despite his claim of wanting to teach Dressrosa a lesson, he couldn't afford to let his mother's gift endure excessive damage.

...

"Um?"

Atlas, savoring the food on the streets of Dressrosa, was suddenly jolted. Ever since his arrival on the island, his awareness had spanned the entirety of Dressrosa, making him naturally cognizant of Charlotte Oven's presence.

"It's intriguing that this fellow is here," Atlas remarked, his curiosity piqued.

Atlas swallowed the food in his mouth in one gulp and swiftly employed Shave to dash towards the direction where the warship was docked. His formidable speed stirred up a gust of wind, prompting some women in short skirts to scream in surprise.

...

"Oops! His Majesty King Riku! The Big Mom Pirates are here!"

In the palace on King's Plateau, a guard ran over in a panic and shouted, breathing heavily.

"What!?!" King Riku was both shocked and angered. He hadn't anticipated the Big Mom Pirates' swift action, immediately redirecting his attention to Gion, who was present.

"Haha, King Riku, don't worry. Marine will assist you in handling this."

Gion also grasped King Riku's concern and promptly conveyed reassurance. She then turned around and departed, leaving behind a confident silhouette.

...

"Hey, it's quite a mess. Let's clean it up!"

Upon Atlas's arrival at the port, chaos and devastation unfolded. Marines and Kingdom Guards engaged in fierce combat against the invading pirates. Charlotte Oven, adorned in orange, stood serenely on the bow of the ship.

Conqueror's Haki! Release!

Suddenly, the entire space appeared to transform into a black and white tableau, freezing the expressions of the pirates, as if time had come to a standstill. Both Marine and the Kingdom Guards, perplexed, stood there in a daze, observing the once-ferocious pirates who now crumpled to the ground one after another.

Several months had passed since Atlas awakened Conqueror's Haki. With his innate talent, Atlas could naturally wield Conqueror's attacks with precise control. Accidentally harming his own allies was, of course, out of the question.

"It's Commodore Atlas!"

"Commodore Atlas's Conqueror's Haki…"

"It's truly formidable. A Conqueror's Haki that emerges only for one in a million!"

While the Kingdom Guards remained stupefied, the Marines swiftly comprehended that this was the result of Atlas's Conqueror's Haki. They were both shocked and exhilarated, energetically brandishing their weapons to apprehend the unconscious pirates sprawled on the ground.

"Conqueror's Haki?!"

Oven, positioned at the bow of the ship, naturally sensed the overwhelming Conqueror's Haki. Although he didn't lose consciousness and collapse like the other pirates, the impact of this potent will seemed to have struck his mind forcefully, leaving him somewhat dazed.

"Charlotte Oven?"

Atlas had some knowledge about Oven. He could be considered one of the most formidable members of the Charlotte family. A Paramecia Devil Fruit user with the ability to control heat, he was the sole child of Big Mom to inherit some of her terrifying physical prowess.

His appearance bounty stood at 300 million Berries, but his strength far exceeded the level implied by that figure. Atlas, currently, paid little attention to bounties, and considering his capabilities, it wouldn't be too low, to say the least.

"When did another Conqueror's Haki wielder come in the Marines?"

Oven was somewhat surprised. As far as he knew, only Sengoku among the Marines was known to possess Conqueror's Haki. Judging by the displayed strength just now, the Marine's Conqueror's seemed exceptionally potent—no ordinary fish that had recently awakened.

"Conqueror's Haki isn't exclusive to you pirates. I believe in the mightiest 'justice'!" Atlas proclaimed with determination.

Atlas responded calmly, patiently awaiting the withdrawal of all the Marines and Kingdom Guards from the battlefield. Otherwise, they might find themselves somewhat helpless in the ensuing confrontation!
