Chapter 57.

"ENEMY WITHIN"

Attack.... Drake ordered.

The vampires snarled, and advanced on Ares. But he was not afraid. With a wave of the sword of light, he created a shield of light, and the vampires were repelled, their fangs gnashing impotently against the barrier. Then,Ares turned to the people of the village, and hisc voice was full of compassion. "Do not be afraid," he said. "I will protect you." And as the people watched, Ares battled with the vampires.

As the vampires continued to attack Ares, Athena emerged from nowhere, sword in hand. Ares looked to Athena, and she nodded. They stood together, facing the darkness. The vampires lunged, and Ares and Athena fought them back, their swords flashing and swirling around them. The battle was fierce, and it seemed that the vampires would never be defeated. But the courage of Ares and Athena was stronger than the darkness, and they fought on.

The battle raged on, and as the sun began to set, the vampires seemed to gain strength. But then, just as it seemed that all was lost, a great light appeared in the sky. The vampires turned, and their eyes widened in terror. It was the sun, but it was not setting - it was rising. The light of the sun shone down upon the vampires, and they began to dissolve, their dark forms disappearing into nothingness. And as the sun rose, Ares and Athena stood, victorious.

The people of the Neighborhood

cheered, and they gathered around Ares and Athena, praising them for their bravery. But Ares and Athena looked to each other, and they knew that it was not over. The darkness was defeated for now, but it would not stay gone for long. They had won a great battle, but the war was not yet won. And so, they prepared themselves for what was to come, knowing that the future was uncertain, but determined to face it with courage.

I'm sorry, Athena and Ares said simultaneously, And more sorry Cutie,for not caring about Catlayer too, and they hugged, "How did you know I needed help and where to find me, Ares asked breaking the hug, "MATE BOND", Athena said, "MATE BOND ", Ares repeated, what's that, Ares asked. Athena took a deep breath and began to explain, According to clawden,is a strong connection between Mates, they feel each other's pain Athena said, but..... But what? Athena asked eyeing him, she knows exactly what he wants to say , but .... We haven't mate once as couples Ares said smiling naughtly, Athena smiled and touched his cheek, don't be naughty young man, Athena said and Ares grabbed her waist and pulled her close to him, Ares ..... Athena said looking around, people will see ,she said trying to break free, "Did you say I'm being naughty?" Ares asked, "yes", Athena replied, "why won't I be naughty around my mate he said and Athena blushed, "Okay, enough romance you two Brielle replied as the moon chasers arrived at the scene, Ares and Athena stepped away from each other, wait..... "How did you guys get here "?, I called them Ares explained, we need help taking the injured ones to the hospital.

"So where exactly do we take them to?" Athena asked. I suggest the laboratory, Mara said, I don't think that's a good idea Brielle said , "Why?", Because the laboratory is only for the moon chasers,we can't trust anybody and can't disclose the location to a non member, you are right, mara said, so .... The city hospital, it's then ,let go and together they left leaving Ares and Athena behind.

"What's wrong?" Athena asked, all this happened because of me ,Ares said , is not your fault,stop blaming yourself, No , they came for me and my family, and I'm sure they will come back to harm this innocent people again, I have to protect them ,Ares said, and I know just what to do.

We are moving to a new neighborhood, Ares announced as soon as his grandparents came out, why...? Apple asked , "what about my school?", "My friends?", You will start a new school and make new friends Ares said,go inside and pack your important belongings, we are leaving, " I don't want to go , Apple said and sat on the floor, Apple????... Ares shouted , Apple stood up trembling, and ran into her room crying, Ares wanted to go after her when Athena held him back, let me do this, you shouldn't have spoken to her in that manner, "but she was proving stubborn, then you take it easy with her, she is a child and will find it hard to understand the angle you are coming from Athena explained and left for Apple's room.

Apple...? , "Can I come in ?", "Go away , she replied, it's me Athena, Apple stood up and opened the door a d then lay on her bed crying, Athena sat besides her,rubbing her back ,till she cal med down, Apple dear, she called, will you please forgive your brother for shouting at you but you see ,he is doing all this to protect you from harms, "what kind of harm ?" Apple asked, you will understand soon but you have to pack , "okay?", Okay she nodded her head and began packing...

Beatrice found it hard to believe that they are leaving the neighborhood, she thought her secret love was coming to an end but she was surprised, infact the entire family was surprised to see some of their neighbors including Ares's forner boss at the mechanic shop and Beatrice secret lover in front of their house...

Emma Ares"s boss stepped forward, for many years we have lived and survived together,so Wherever you guys go, we will come along because we are one big family and some days ,I might be your uncle in_law he said and winked at Beatrice,who in returned blushed...
