Chapter 7: Young Master (6)

Just meters away from the party lay a plain field, where the young masters and Miss surrounded the area in excitement for the battle. Even without vocalizing it, most people hoped for Elijah's downfall.

Fifty meters apart stood Elijah and Cain. Removing his tie, Cain declared, "Even if I'm not one of the Seven Miracles, my power surpasses that of any of my peers." Aware of the formidable powers present at the party, Elijah chuckled inwardly, knowing there were at least five individuals who could easily best him.

With a smirk, Elijah stood, sensing the aura he emitted. "So, he's an F rank," he thought, comparing himself to Cain, and Elijah held was at G+ rank it seemed like Cain would just overpower him. Despite this, Elijah remained undeterred, facing his opponent with his guard up, awaiting the signal.

As Cain's body began emanating his aura, he commanded, "Start." In the blink of an eye, he closed the distance, his hand encased in ice to reinforce his strike. He aimed a punch at Elijah's position, but Elijah had already evaded the attack, albeit narrowly.

The ground transformed into ice, compelling Elijah to leap backward. However, Cain's speed proved formidable as he swiftly approached, trailed by ice spears. "You know, I've faced monsters much stronger than you and still emerged victorious," Elijah thought, a smile playing on his lips as his body radiated with a silver light.

To bolster his physical prowess, Elijah needed to circulate Chi around his body, a task made more arduous without meridians. Utilizing the momentum from Cain's spear to evade, Elijah landed his first blow with a kick. Cain staggered backward, attempting to regain his balance as more ice spears materialized, hurtling towards Elijah.

Evading the spears, Elijah found himself within their midst, unable to dodge them all. With quick thinking, he punched one of the ice spears, creating an opening. Seizing the opportunity, Cain lunged forward, aiming a punch at Elijah. Yet, Elijah abruptly halted and coated his hand with silver glow, blocking the attack from the side.

Shocked by Elijah's slow yet effective maneuver, Cain recoiled. Elijah's tactic was straightforward: recognizing that the spear left him vulnerable, he utilized its force to evade and counterattack. Undeterred, Cain charged forward, ice swords forming around him, accompanied by a larger one emerging from behind.

Ducking and weaving, Elijah engaged Cain in combat, exchanging blows as Victor and Mike observed from the sidelines. "It appears they're evenly matched," Mike remarked.

"You're mistaken; Cain is much stronger. However, Elijah's experience gives him an edge, and I sense he isn't exerting his full power," Victor countered.

"Who do you think will emerge victorious?" Mike inquired.

"Anything is possible," Victor replied.

Amidst the battle, Elijah and Cain traded blows, each unable to land a decisive strike. Evading Cain's ice attacks, Elijah maneuvered as spikes of ice erupted from the ground. With precision, Elijah navigated atop one of the spikes before leaping away.

However, Cain launched a colossal sword, catching Elijah off guard. Grinning, Cain knew evasion was futile against such speed and power. As the ice sword hurtled towards Elijah, his aura momentarily shifted to red as he collided with the weapon.

An explosion ensued, shrouding the area in mist. Inside the mist, Elijah surged towards Cain, whose demeanor betrayed astonishment. Elijah's power surged, elevating him to an F+ rank in an instant. Creating a shield to defend himself, Cain braced as Elijah, wearing a confident smile, delivered a punch that shattered the shield.

"My apologies, but let's conclude this; I have another bout to prepare for," Elijah declared as his red aura intensified, causing the ice shield to crack and ultimately shatter. Cain hurtled towards the forest, breaking several trees before halting.

As the mist dissipated, Elijah stood, victorious, his gaze meeting Victor's, who offered a smirk in return. Drawing closer to the crowd, Elijah addressed them, "Cain is incapacitated. What say you, Victor?" Victor's silence spoke volumes, his silver eyes conveying his response.

Suddenly, a figure appeared behind Elijah, delivering a playful slap to his head. "OUch," Miss Amy announced her presence.

"Young master, you've caused quite a stir," Amy chided, shocking those present. "It's time to depart; the miss awaits."

Observing her expression, Elijah sighed. "Very well," he acquiesced.

Thus, the dinner party, whose purpose remained a mystery, concluded with Miss Amy escorting Elijah. The Dominic family's fame and power were reaffirmed, with their enigmatic young master now revealed.

Inside the car, Miss Amy cast a golden light around Elijah as she attended to his injuries. "You were severely wounded, yet you pursued a fight," she remarked.

"I couldn't resist the thrill," Elijah chuckled.

"What was that technique you employed, one that caused such damage to your body?" she inquired as she healed his fractured bones and strained muscles.

"It's a technique my grandfather termed Kenshi. In essence, it significantly amplifies my power, albeit at the cost of damaging my body," Elijah explained.

"The injury to my hand was a result of that formidable ice spear; its strength was unparalleled," he added, prompting a frown from Miss Amy, followed by a sigh.

"You must have endured excruciating pain," she commented.

"Yes, but would a young master of the Dominic family yield or display weakness?" Elijah posed, eliciting a smile from Miss Amy, accentuating her beauty.

"No, indeed. And that's precisely why you're our young master," she affirmed, prompting Elijah to laugh.
