Elijah remained seated, wearing an annoyed expression as they chatted. Julia glanced at him and asked, "What's up with him?"
"He's just annoyed that we haven't gone to the forest yet," Kai replied. Then he added, "Can you continue?"
"Oh, yay! The whole place, even the floating lawless city, has a barrier around it. Because this is a higher planet, only most B-rank or higher existences can live here.
Wanting to create an environment that anyone weak or strong can reach, they made those two barriers that suppress the mana and gravity inside the barrier. That's why I was saying to not go anywhere near the barrier."
"Okay, how about the groups you were talking about in this city?" Kai inquired, playfully slamming Elijah's head.
"What's that for?" Elijah shouted, touching his head.
"Listen," Kai said, signaling Julia to continue before soon feeling someone slap his head.
"Haha, how does that feel?" Kai stood up with an angered expression as the two started fighting.
"Hehe, are you guys brothers or something?" She inquired, watching the playful fight.
Kai stared at her after pushing Elijah away and answered, "I'm just his babysitter." His response made Elijah smile as he slapped Kai's head again, and the two continued their playful fights.
"You idiot."
"Hahaha, look at your face," Elijah laughed as he got hit by Kai's sword which was still in its scabbard. "AAGAGAGAG."
"Now who has a stupid face? Hahaha," he laughed, but upon noticing everyone staring at them, Kai sat down and coughed. After recovering, he wanted to strike, but seeing his embarrassed expression, everyone laughed.
"What are you so shy for?" He didn't get a reply, and Elijah changed the subject. "Julia, can you continue, so no one will cry if we don't," he said, pointing at Kai.
'I'm going to chop that finger,' he thought, glaring at Elijah intensely.
When they both heard her voice, they paid attention. "Okay then," she chuckled and continued, "There are three major guilds, you may say, which are Black, Xvan, and the Horseman.
Of those three, there is one you shouldn't mess with, which belongs to one of the royal families. Then some are just here to enter that realm; this one lives here, having tremendous influence, also being one of the people who created this whole island."
Considering something, she continued, "There are also the minor ones who mostly roam around this part of the city but are still a part of those three major ones, so tread carefully. Also, some already have their eyes on you two, so be careful," she said.
Elijah was the one who nodded and said, "You didn't say the name of the one who belongs to a royal family."
She showed a confused expression. "I thought you knew."
Kai stopped covering his face and answered Elijah, "That's the Horseman."
Elijah sat there with many thoughts in his mind. 'Miss Amy said from this point forward I'm not allowed to call myself Dominic as long as I'm in the test,' he sighed. Even if he didn't want to, he shouldn't consider fighting against them. "
We need to stop bringing too much attention towards ourselves. Even though I hate it, we aren't strong enough to face them yet."
"What if they attack us?" Kai asked, gaining her attention and staring at Elijah.
He smirked and answered, "Simple, we will destroy them." Both men smiled, which creeped Julia out. "Anyway… Are you guys finished?" he asked, removing his creepy smile as both nodded, and he stood up. "Then let's go."
At the Dominic Mansion
Ava was enjoying the sun, sipping her drink, and gazing into the distance with a neutral expression. "You know you can't hide him forever, right?" A male voice, sounding as relaxed as hers, spoke as a chair similar to hers appeared beside her.
The man exuded a terrifying aura, wearing a black suit without a tie. His handsome visage, black hair, and emerald eyes were reminiscent of Amy's.
"You don't work with the Zenith military, so why does it bother you?" she inquired.
"It doesn't bother me, you may say I'm just curious about this young man no one has known for over 20 years now," he said, gazing into the sky. "Also, you must be careful with the military; the moment they find out, they'll try to kill him."
"Yes, I know, but I dare them to even touch him. Not even he can protect them," she answered with some killing intent.
He smirked without replying to her and asked, "Where is my sister?"
"Working," a simple answer that held many meanings, which he understood as he just opened his palm. Devices appeared. "The payment will be transferred later," she said, sipping her drink and staring into the distance once more.
The man stood up. "The calmness around the Galaxies is going to be broken soon, and even if we don't want to, we'll need to work together," he said, adding, "The calm before the storm.
I wonder who will carry this era and make their own legend. Only time can tell, Ava, but our eyes don't lie; that's why we see all, and we already know." He laughed before disappearing.
"A war, huh? When?" she asked as a voice rang out.
"That is for fate to decide; we just have to wait and see."
After some minutes, the neutral expression on her face disappeared, replaced with worry. "Elijah, a storm is coming. Will you overcome it? Either way, just know that I'm with you to the end, so don't disappoint."
