Chapter 66: Julia and Adan

Somewhere near Stella's Mansion

"There isn't anyone spying on them right now, so we're good, but I can't be sure it'll stay that way.

When we came here with Elijah, I did sense someone watching us," Julia said, glancing around the forest.

She wore a purple sweater and pants, paired with high boots.

Adan watched her as she stood on a tree branch, truly realizing how beautiful she was. It was almost otherworldly, and his heart skipped a beat.

"Damn, how do those two ignore this? She's like a magnet for attention. I don't think even Stella compares."

Adan sighed and said, "Then let's head to the manor, ask what they might be looking for, and inform them about what we're planning to do tonight."

Julia jumped down, landing gracefully without a sound. Adan commented, "You're a skilled assassin. It's like every step you take is silent."

Julia smiled and said, "I'm a thief, an assassin, a long-range fighter, and a badass beautiful bae."

"That's true. I'm surprised neither Kai nor Elijah seems not interested in you," Adan said with a chuckle.

"Yeah, those two are too focused on their goals to even think about girls. All that's in their heads is train, train, and train.

At least that's Kai. For Elijah, it's more like train, eat, fight someone, eat an entire meal, and train again," Julia joked.

"You're not so different yourself," Adan pointed out.

"That's true," Julia admitted, her own goals on her mind.

"But you all need to learn to loosen up a little. It's boring to take life so seriously all the time," Adan advised.

"Yeah," Julia agreed, stopping as Adan followed. "Also, I want to apologize for my behavior back then."

"No, it's fine," Adan waved his hand dismissively. "I would have acted the same way if someone did that to someone I care about."

"Yes, but I also understood your situation, which is why I want to say I'm sorry," Julia said, bowing her head slightly.

"Seriously, it's all fine," Adan said, trying to change the topic. "So, what did Kai say you'd explain to me?"

"Oh, that. It's just that we're not from this planet," Julia stared at him, expecting a surprised reaction, but Adan just nodded.

"I thought you'd be surprised or question if what I'm saying is even true."

"Maybe, but from the first day I saw you guys, I just thought you were weird, so I'm not that shocked, you know? I'm just curious about everything, really," Adan said.

"Hehehe, you don't realize this, but I'm speaking a different language than you, yet you can still understand me," Julia said.

Adan stopped, his eyes widening like a mirror shattering. "How the heck can I understand you?"

"That's the expression I wanted," Julia chuckled before explaining,

"What we speak is the Universal Language—something that anyone, no matter who they are, can understand. It also allows anyone who speaks it to understand every language that exists in the universe."

"Wow, I can actually hear you speaking a different language," Adan said, still in shock.

"You're still surprised, aren't you?" Julia teased.

"Yeah," Adan admitted.
