129: Beginning of a war (1)

"What about the frontline forces? Have they not given chase?" The Holy King asked.

The chief advisor shook his head and said, "They are afraid it's a trap. They believe if they chase after the undead, they will be lured into a pit of death and suffer great losses. Thus, they have chosen to hold their position."

"What about our forces we sent to the frontline?" The Pope asked.

"They... They were wiped out during the attack on the Fortress of Newedlee," the chief advisor broke the devastating news to the group who had just resolved one disaster from spreading across the world.

Everyone present gasped in dismay and disbelief.

The loss of their frontline forces was a heavy blow to their national security. They could have used it to pincer attack any force that dared to bring war to their door, but now that it was gone, it left them even more vulnerable to the approaching undead army.
