A Feeling So Pure

For the longest time, Luca survived on productivity.

If he was productive, he could continue to live comfortably. The guilt he carried with him because of his father was lessened for just a little longer if he gave himself worth through productivity.

In his office chair, high above New Vista, Luca sat at a desk with a worn-in leather chair that he used to spend almost all of his time in before he met Sophia. He would get there early and leave late.

He took meetings as he was supposed to and presented himself as a hands-on president, but it mostly had to do with filling his life with work so no other aspect of his life could be addressed.
