Her eyes were still swollen from her previous tears, but they began to water again for a far different reason than before. She tried to pull away and hide her face from him. 

“Promise me,” she uttered. “Promise me I'll never be in the same room as him ever again.” 

His fist clenched and he had to control his anger. 

Quieter than before he whispered, “I promise.”

Synopsis: 
A tumultuous childhood made Sophia fight that much harder for peace in her adulthood. Yet it would take only one meeting to shatter the average life she led as a successful bakery owner in the center of New Vista. 

She found him on a pile of garbage in an alley, bleeding from a head wound. After taking him to the hospital, he woke up not knowing who he was. The hospital referred to him as “John Doe”.

While navigating her fresh breakup, the mystery man became her source of distraction and comfort. He has a far more tender and doting side than she ever expected. Is he only like this with her?

Luca and Sophia were back to normal with one another but their work kept them apart regardless.

As Falcone Investments and Holdings geared up for the end of the quarter and an extended break for the holidays, the assistants were in charge of organizing schedules for the year end party.

If it wasn't for Rachel, Sophia would have dropped the ball miserably but the executive assistant was on top of her game. She had most plans laid out already and simply needed Sophia to make the appointments or verify the event organizer.

There was a hotel nearby that would house the event and it would be a semi-formal affair where everyone was allowed to dress up and show off the wealth they garnered from the company that year.
