Hiding His Truth

As Sophia relaxed into her float, Luca saw her start to drift away and he gently reached for her hand that was hanging in the water to keep her cool.

They were like otters in the way that they made sure to stay together even if they were drifting apart in the natural pull of the ocean.

Sophia was entirely unaware of her surroundings as she lay on her back and shut her eyes while the hot sun beat down on her pale skin. She had worn the highest SPF possible and was sure that it was waterproof, but there was no telling just how hot the sun was by the equator. Even in places still tropical but less warm, she had managed to still burn.

Luckily she had slept late so there was no chance of her falling asleep. It was relaxing enough to simply lay there and listen to the noises of the ocean and distant small town. Even if she caught laughter from the shore or the whisper of a conversation from one of the other bungalows, it was perfectly peaceful.
