After finding out about Zoey's plan for the upcoming father's day at her high school, I decided to meet up with Sebastian, to know his reason for agreeing to her request. Zoey set up an eatery for us to meet, and he had no idea that he would be meeting up with me at the eatery. It was really a nice place, and the sit outs were nice too.
Sebastian was just seated all alone at a chair, waiting for Zoey that had informed him earlier that she would show up. I had my way earlier, by forcing Zoey to do this set up, or her plans would be ruined. She loyally agreed because she didn't want all her hardwork to go down the drain.
Still on his cell phone, Sebastian heard some footsteps walking up to where he was sitting.
He looked up from his phone, surprised to see me approaching him.
I walked up to his seat, dragging a chair and having my butts on them. I crossed my legs, giving him a stare that sent chills into his soul and body. He was very surprised to see me instead of Zoey and he was already looking around with his eyes, if he would catch a glimpse of the young lad.
"Have you seen a ghost huh?". I asked rudely.
"Where's she? Zoey was meant to be here, and not you." He said naively, while I gave out a wicked laughter.
"Why did you accept to be a father figure to my daughter, for the upcoming father's day?". I asked him.
"If you're not cool with that, then fine." He said.
He didn't even hesitate to back off. He was still that annoying, wicked brat I knew in the past. Sebastian was really angry that he was fooled by Zoey. He really didn't mean his last words, because he would never break his promise to Zoey. He just said that to me, because he had a personality to protect infront of everyone.
"It's how you're pretending to be nice now." I exposed him.
"Who said I'm? Especially not to you." He replied.
"Zoey would see through you soon." I responded.
"A threat? You talked about loyalty, but see who had a kid first." He berated me.
I got very angry with his words, but tried maintaining my cool infront of everyone at the eatery. It was really boring, sitting infront of this young man. I just couldn't stand him, but I really wanted to use the opportunity, and say more of my mind.
Still talking to him, I got interrupted by Zoey's entrance. She pulled a chair at the table, sitting in between us. It was looking more like a family now. I was very surprised to see her. I wasn't aware that she was going to show up at the eatery later on.
"It's more like a big family. Why are the both of you always fighting?". She asked us.
"The two of you used to be friends." Zoey added.
"He's the one fighting not me." I defended myself.
"You're good at being the victim." Sebastian attacked me.
Zoey watched us argue like kids, while she laughed at us. I sipped the glass of juice before me frustratingly, breathing like someone that was chased over hundred miles. Sebastian secretly gave Zoey a sterning stare, because she didn't tell him all of these were going to happen at the eatery today.
"Your mum wants me to cancel our plan." Sebastian revealed to her.
"Huh, really mum? but you promised not to if..." I cut her words short immediately.
"Whatever. If you want me to dress like a man, to be your father on that day, then I'll gladly do it." I said.
"Such a character." Sebastian teased me.
I bulged out my eyes at him, while he laughed at my dramatic attitude. Zoey joined him in laughing, and I felt that Sebastian have suddenly stolen my child from me. She supports him more than she does to me, and it wasn't just okay before me.
I stood up from there, leaving. Zoey tried going after me, but Sebastian stopped her from doing so.
Luckily, I met Jasmine outside the eatery. She was obviously waiting for me outside and she have been stalking me since morning. I was happy to see her, and I followed her to a nearby restaurant, that was next to the eatery.
She arranged a sumptous meal she had ordered earlier for the both of us.
"I knew the meeting won't end well.' she said.
"Zoey likes him so much. What would happen, if she finds out he's her biological father?". I asked exhaustedly.
"You're thinking too much." Jasmine replied.
"I'm scared right now." I cried out.
I was really exhausted and I was already thinking too much again. Zoey was so attached to this man and if the truth finally gets out of the cat's bag, she would dump me for her father. Jasmine lended me a handki, which I used in wiping off my tears. I munched a hamburger before me, trying to forget about my problems for some minutes.
"This ham taste so good." I said with a mouthful.
"You really need to avoid that man. I don't know why fate keeps bringing two of you together." Jasmine said.
"..and that's why I'm so confused."I replied, wiping off my lower lip with a serviette.
Jasmine pushed a glass of water to my side, while I thanked her for her kind gesture. I gulped down the water, belging into the serviette. I neatly folded it, throwing it into the waste bin next to our table. The meals before me helped me out and I was okay a bit. Jasmine reminded me about my trip days ago and I had to open up to her. She really wanted to hear everything.
"I reconciled with my parents and I found out that the Kurtz auctioned our home." I revealed.
"Damn!! Are you serious?". Jasmine asked surprisedly.
"Yeah, I'm not kidding. Somehow, my friends at the states are helping me out with some attorney research." I said.
"I feel betrayed. I'm here and you can bug me with that." She nagged.
I laughed at her words, nodding my head. Jasmine obviously rewinded my mind back a bit, and I have already forgotten about the case I promised my family to bring up. The whole Zoey's scenarios had occupied my mind these days, and it distracted me from getting busy with things that really mattered. Jasmine looked at me with so much pity, and was sad she wasn't with me over there, to face those people.
I hated Sebastian more, after finding out about the scandal him and his family did to my family. It is just so sad, that this man happens to be the father of my sweet child. I would make sure that they all pay for every tear, that my family and I shed because of them.
