"MY SWEARING IN AT THE GEORGIAN COMPANY"

It has been two days, since I finally accepted George's offer. I got my resignation letter ready, and submitted it to my manager at the bank I worked in. The staffs I worked it, showed their different sad expressions, and it was obvious they were going to miss me so much, because I bonded with so many people at my work place.

Zoey heard about it, and she was not pleased by that at all. Working in George's company, would only bring us closer to each other and that was her fear. She didn't want us to get closer to each other.

★★D day for my swearing in★★

I woke up on the day I would finally be working at the almighty Georgian company and I was filled with so much expectations.

Jasmine already ironed my corporate dress, and I appreciated her for her kind favor.

**At Jasmine's bed room**

I was standing before a wall mirror, practicing my welcoming speech, when Zoey entered inside the room pissed off. She interrupted my privacy, and I wasn't pleased by that.

"I'm sorry, but I have something to discuss with you about." She said to me.

"I already know what you've to say." I said to her sighing.

"But why did you do it mum?". She asked with a pale face.

I located the bed, sitting down on it. Zoey stood before me, while I clapped my hands against each other quietly.

"Zoey, I'm not in the mood for this conversation." I said to her.

"One day, you decided to resign from your job and to work in another company." Zoey said to me.

"You obviously know nothing about this." I said to her.

Zoey had no idea behindg the reason I decided to do this. I wasn't happy with my decision either. I was already at a point of frustration, when I finally refused from looking back and rather accepting my fate. Working at the Georgian company would be a triple pay for me. It would obviously be enough to fund the case I had at hand.

"I don't understand you anymore mum." She said to me angrily.

"Soon you'll understand why I did this." I replied.

Zoey shook her head disappointedly, walking out of the room. When she was leaving, was also the same time Jasmine was entering into the room. Both of them bumped into each other, but Zoey ignored Jasmine and left. Jasmine hurriedly walked up to me, still looking at the door confused by Zoey's reaction earlier.

"Did the both of you fight again?". She asked me confusedly.

"Yes we did. I won't let her ruin my happy day." I said to Jasmine, rolling my eyes.

Jasmine finally found out a clue, that it must be about George again. She already knew that Zoey would react this way, once she finds out that I finally accepted George's offer.

Jasmine bugged me to get ready, because being prompt at work, was one thing George appreciates a lot.

I rushed into the bathroom to get ready. Starting work at the Georgian company meant so much to me. Nobody knew the reason I decided to accept the offer, except mother. Others tagged it as being greedy, including my own child. I seriously didn't care about the side talks, as long as the job solves my problems in the future.

★★An Hour Later★★

I was already dressed up on an ironed short sleeve shirt that had tiny dots and a straight cut black skirt. My black shoes were polished by Jasmine and it shined effortlessly.

I appeared smartly on my first day at work. I had a feeling that accepting this job offer, was going to be my starting point of being rich and I would finally give my daughter the wealthy life I have always wanted to give to her.

"Good bye Jasmine. See you at home soon."I said to her, blowing kisses at her.

"Good luck at your swearing in." She said to me with a smile.

I nodded my head, returning back her kind gesture with a wide warm smile. She escorted me to the company, and finally we said our good byes, after seeing me off at the company. I admired the large company, wishing myself a good luck on my first day. I breathed in and out, before going into the building before me.

I headed upstairs to the conference room. It seemed like everyone was waiting for me to arrive.

Getting there, I met one of the securities, standing outside of the conference room. He opened the door for me, while I gently walked in.

Everyone from their seats, sighted me at the door. They were all looking at me now. I obviously don't like being a centre of attraction. It has its way of making me feel very uncomfortable.

"Our new staff and assistant manager is here now." One of the director of boards said from her seat.

All hands were on the air, clapping for me. I smiled frustratingly, looking at everyone's face that were inside there. George ordered me to join him at the stage, since he would be introducing me to everyone. I shyly walked up to him at the stage.

Some of the members of the company, noticed I was a bit uncomfortable and they wondered if I was capable for the position George was giving to me free of charge. Most of them there were envious, because they have always dreamed of that position of the upper echelon.

"Another round of applause for our new staff and the new assistant manager of the company." George said, taking the lead.

There was silence in the room, and most of them didn't agree with that. One of the members of the board arose from his seat.

"Mr George to be sincerely frank, I do not agree with you on this." Mr Thomas objected.

"Why did you say so?". George asked him.

"She's a newbie in this company, and obviously naive about how things are being run here. How could you possibly make her the assistant manager of your company?". Mr Thomas asked him bitterly.

Most of his colleagues agreed with him, waiting for George to give his reason. I was looking at George now, having nothing to say on my own side. I never even wanted the position. All I wanted was to be a normal worker like everyonelse.

"I'm sorry but I'm sure I informed everyone at the board about this, during our last board meeting as of a month ago." He rewinded back Mr Thomas mind to the past.

"How dare you question the manager of the Georgian company?". A voice from the board asked Mr Thomas immediately.

I was obviously the cause of the chaos happening inside. I wasn't pleased with it at all. I wanted to find a possible way to stop the unnecessary arguments going on between them.

"I'm not interested in the position." I said aloud.

There was a sudden engraved silence inside the conference room, and George was wondering why I said that.

"There's no going back Bianca. If you're scared about these people, then you should know I'm with you on this, and I trust you with this position." George assured me.

Seeing the sincerity in his voice, I was forced to take back my words. I didn't want to disappoint him, seeing how much trust he had for me. I was successfully sworn in into my seat as the new assistant manager of the Georgian company and also a staff in the company.

I was shown my new office by my new appointed personal staff member. She would be the one running necessary errands for me in my absence.

I was very pleased that everything went successfully and I already pledged to myself, that I won't let the jealousy the board members had for me, pull me down.
