"Torie!!"
A loud voice suddenly sounded from behind them at this moment. They all turned back and saw a boy standing at the entrance of the hall, he was glaring at all of them and his glare was even fiercer when pointed at Alex who still had a hand stretched out towards the red-haired girl.
"You, get away from her!" The boy bellowed with a finger pointed at Alex and began to rush towards them.
The boy looked to be sixteen years old, having a slim body structure and a handsome face. His green hair fell over his head with some on his forehead and was almost as tall as the other boy who was standing beside the girl with glasses.
He wore fashionable black jean trousers, and a blue leather jacket with a white shirt beneath it.
Arriving in front of them, the boy stood in between Alex and the expressionless girl who currently had a look of annoyance when staring at the newcomer.
"Who do you think you are to hit on Torie? Want to get beaten up?" The boy growled at Alex with a pissed expression.
Alex stared at him blankly, unsure of what he had done but one thing was certain. 'This kid was trouble!' Alex thought and instantly decided to withdraw but was stopped by the green-haired kid again.
"Hey! I'm talking to you, how dare you ignore me?!" The kid said with a hand on Alex's shoulder.
"Let him be, Milan. How can a student of a prestigious magic academy, a future mage, be so barbaric?"
A gentle voice came from the entrance, causing all of them including the green-haired kid whose name happened to be Milan to stop what he was doing and look over.
The red-haired girl, Torie, also looked over and her face immediately became one of disgust and fear for some unknown reason when she saw who the owner of the voice was; it appeared that she was even more disturbed by this person than she was with Milan, although no one took notice of this change.
Standing at the entrance was a young boy with long golden hair wearing a long white robe like a cultivator from a comic, he was not as tall as Milan or the other boy but his height was still stunning for kids their age and he had exquisite features that would make people easily like him.
But what caught Alex's attention first was the tag that was still stuck to his chest area, on it was a golden №1 written on it. Alex suddenly turned to look at Milan's tag because he had a crazy suspicion, he was proven right the instant his eyes fell on the №2 on Milan's tag.
'These two were the first and second people to register for the awakening, they definitely are not ordinary people! I shouldn't get into conflict with them, I don't want to bother the village head' Alex thought but still stood in place, afraid that Milan would get pissed again if he left abruptly and find trouble with him in the academy.
"See why you should have registered early with us? But you chose to come after weeks into registration" the new kid said to Torie with a sigh before turning to Alex.
" I heard from the other kids going out that someone awakened two elements, I guess that's you, right? After all, Torie would not bother interacting with just anybody. I'm Vee, light element. Let's get along in the academy" he said with a kind smile on his face, Torie shivered from the side for some reason when she saw the smile on Vee's face; disgust was written all over her face.
"I'm Alex, ice…and healing element" Alex replied after some hesitation. He had hesitated on whether he should say his elements but thinking about the number of people who knew, it was pointless to try keeping it hidden.
Vee's eyes flashed briefly but soon returned to normal, he stared at Vee who was standing beside Alex in silence all this while, and raised an eyebrow.
"Umm, are you two…brothers?" He asked while staring at their heads.
"Pfftt, bwahahahahaha" A loud laughter suddenly sounded from the side, it was the boy who had asked the same question but was berated by the girl with glasses. No one paid any attention to him though.
"No, we're just friends and met here" Vee replied with a helpless smile on his face.
"Ohh, in that case. Nice to meet you too, I'm Vee, light element" the golden-haired kid said.
"Nice to meet you too, I'm Vee as well, lightning element. Oh, are we the same person?" Vee replied with a silly look on his face, causing the others except Torie to laugh at his joke.
"Interesting, since we have the same name, why don't we know how to address each other? You can call me by my middle name, Gustavo, alright? Now if you may excuse us, we have to go" Vee, now addressed as Gustavo said to them before pulling Milan and Torie away. He did not even introduce himself to Helen, the girl in glasses, and the other kid.
"Are they perhaps siblings?" Helen could not help but ask after the trio left but no one answered as everyone just shrugged.
"Alright, see you all around in the academy," the other boy said before brushing past Helen and heading towards the entrance. Helen stumped her foot in anger after she was shoved to the side, she waved goodbye to Alex and Vee before leaving.
Since no one was delaying them any longer (the two were the last of the kids left inside the hall after everyone left) they both left as well.
Still standing on the awakening platform, the purple-haired woman stared at all their interactions before they left without butting in.
"Interesting, he is still alive and kicking even after some hours have passed. We should watch him more before deciding what to do next" a deep male voice came from the side of the hall as a middle-aged man wriggled into existence.
He looked at the purple-haired woman and said with a smile.
"You did well for a newbie, your teaching career should be smooth" he complimented.
