Chapter 325 : Wrong Briefcase 1

Orion stood outside Jacob's apartment, scanning the area for any sign of life. After trailing Elenora and realizing she didn't believe him about the briefcase mix-up, he had decided to leave her alone for now. He knew she would eventually realize her mistake and come after him.

All he had to do is wait, and in the mean time he has to contact with Newt to asked more about Vampires. And introgate the one he already have capturer, too much work. But then he realized that it actually better to just take the briefcase from Jacob, after all that woman didn't seems like she will give Newt's case back to him for like that, the way she was protecting that briefcase, Orion wouldn't doubt if someone say that she had hidden all three Deadly Hallows inside them.

So in the meantime, he had to retrieve her briefcase from Jacob.

After some searching, he finally made his way to Jacob's apartment, only to find it empty. The door was slightly ajar, and he cautiously stepped inside. There was no one home, but sitting on the table was the briefcase he'd been looking for. He could tell it wasn't just an ordinary case by the faint magical aura surrounding it.

He now wanted to take a peek to see what was inside but he restrained himself some how.

Orion let out a quiet sigh of relief. "Finally," he muttered under his breath. His plan was simple—switch the briefcase with a copy, take the original, and wait for Elenora to figure things out on her own.

Exchange her briefcase for Newt's and then return that to Newt for a favor.

Easy Peasy.

With a quick glance around to make sure no one was watching, he focused his energy and used the Law of Matter, one of his unique abilities, to conjure a duplicate of the briefcase. He concentrated, and slowly, the air around him began to shift. Particles swirled together, forming the shape of the briefcase right in front of him. Within seconds, an identical case appeared in his hands, looking exactly like the one on the table.

Orion smirked slightly at his handiwork. Without hesitation, he swapped the real briefcase with the one he had just created, making sure everything looked as it had before. He then picked up the real briefcase, slipping it under his arm.

"Now, all that's left is to wait for both Elenora and Newt and in the mean while I will extract information from those damn vampires."

Elenora finally made it back to her apartment, feeling a sense of relief wash over her as she carefully shut the door behind her. She glanced around nervously to make sure no one had followed her. After double-checking the locks, she allowed herself to relax, taking a deep breath. The encounter with that strange man earlier still left her uneasy, but she tried to push it from her mind.

"He knew Law! How is he ? There is no way he can be just any ordinary wizards. He is powerful, I can't tell how much with barebones magic but the way he deal with those vampires and how effortlessly he use Law. I know he is strong." she mutter with hesitation washing over now again. If someone like that man goes after her, then she really can't run away anymore.

The briefcase sat on the table, and she looked at it thoughtfully. "Ahhh… don't think about it…Time to get back to work," she muttered. She had been waiting to enter her briefcase to visit the mansion inside, but now, she finally had a moment alone. With one last glance toward the window to make sure no one was watching, she crouched down and unlatched the briefcase.

The moment it opened, something small and furry leaped out. Elenora gasped as a magical beast, resembling a mischievous monkey, darted out of the case and began wreaking havoc in her apartment. It had bright, shimmering fur that sparkled as it scampered across the furniture, knocking over books and trinkets in the process.

"What in Merlin's name?" she shouted, scrambling to catch the creature. It dodged her attempts to grab it, swinging from the curtains and knocking over a vase on the table. Elenora's frustration grew as she chased the beast around, trying to corner it.

Finally, after a few exhausting minutes, she managed to trap the little creature by tossing a blanket over it. With the monkey now caught, Elenora took a moment to catch her breath, her heart racing. "Why there is a magical beast in their ?" she muttered, frowning at the briefcase.

Something was wrong. The briefcase shouldn't have released a magical creature, and the inside was supposed to be a quiet, expansive mansion. A growing sense of dread filled her chest. Without wasting another second, she opened the briefcase again and climbed inside.

But instead of the familiar mansion she expected, she found herself standing in a small, disorganized space filled with random objects and that lead to what she can only say a Magical Beast Lovers wet dream, all sorts of magical beast as were in their. Many even she didn't knew and didn't wanted seeing some looked very poisonous and some were three times her size—definitely not the place she knew.

Her eyes widened as realization hit her like a ton of bricks. "This isn't my briefcase," she whispered, her voice trembling. She frantically looked around, panic starting to settle in. "Shit shist shit.. where is that card."

Her mind raced as she remembered the man who had warned her earlier. "He was telling the truth…" she muttered, feeling a sickening twist in her stomach. How could she have been so careless?

She rushed out of the briefcase and tore through her bag, trying to find the address the man had given her. But then, her face paled as she remembered—she had thrown the card away, thinking it might be cursed or have a tracking charm. "I threw it out!" she exclaimed, feeling a wave of regret wash over her. She did it so that if there was an tracking charm on the card then that man can't track her again. But now…

Elenora sat down, staring at the briefcase in disbelief. She had no way to contact the man, no way to find him. And now, her briefcase was gone, replaced with something completely foreign. She was at a loss, unsure of what to do next.
