BACK HOME 1

While Anna and Noah prepared to go back to her family, in the Yong family house, Nari was going through her phone. A sweet smile displaying on her lips.

She had only asked her team to post a harmless news that she never thought would escalate like this.

Different massive hate accounts have been created for the sake of Anna. It's like they've all been waiting for the right time to come at her. To get this much hate, Anna must have annoyed one of the higher ups. Nari smiled.

She doesn't need to do much anymore, everything has been working in her favour lately. She would see how Anna will be able to even think of coming back up after this.

"Why didn't you tell me about the incident in the mall." Mack stepped into the lounge where Nari was sitted with Veronica walking next to him.

"Cause it wasn't important." Nari stated.

"She humiliated you both."

"I wanted to teach her a lesson but Nari already had something else in mind." Veronica found her way to the couch and sat down.

"Mother you know that's always how Anna is. She's always been that way to me, showing off her wealth cause she's fortunate. That's one of the reason I worked so hard." She smiled.

"Oh my Nari, and your hard work has paid off." Veronica said and Nari smiled glancing at Mack who just watched her quietly. He was angry that Anna has humiliated his future wife and mother.

That spoilt brat... He cussed inwardly gritting his teeth. He'll make her pay for everything she's done to Nari.

"The first time I tried to destroy her image, the news got taken down from the internet in no time." Mack said. Not only did the news disappear, after that day their company was never the same again. He was sure it has something to do with the Sui, but when did they have so much power to destroy them if they were almost equals in wealth?

And what's happening now? Why's her name being tarnished with nothing being done? Is something wrong with them?

Mack brought out his phone and sent a text to someone. Once he was done sending the message his eyes met Nari who was watching closely with a smile.

... I always knew she wasn't a good person to think she pretended for years." Veronica clicked her tongue.

"I told you but you never listened." Nari said calmly.

"You're smart Nari. I remember she used to be your best friend what did she do again?" Veronica asked her daughter in law.

Nari clenched her fists, frustration etched across her innocent face as she recalled the past. "She is good at looking down on everyone. She wants to be the only person that succeeds," she muttered, her voice carrying the bitterness of jealousy only she could feel.

Anna, oblivious to Nari's plans, continued to treat her with kindness, a fact that only fueled Nari's anger. "It's never in a story that the rich ones are kind and humble," Nari thought, her mind wrestling with her thoughts.

In her misshapened narrative, Nari considered herself as the innocent one, destined for success, while Anna played the role of the jealous enemy, destined for downfall. But Anna shattered that script unknowingly. She wasn't at all bitter, she was as humble as dust and loved everyone who came her path.

Nari reflected bitterly of the past, recalling how Anna had lifted her from the slums and provided her with new opportunities. Only she knew who Nari's parents are and that was why Nari used it against her. That's why she made that post with the hip of Mack.

She was determined to rewrite the narrative to fit her unreasonable notions, Nari manipulated everyone. She sowed seeds of doubt among their friends, portraying Anna as a fake friend.

She has successfully manipulated everyone into thinking Anna was a bad person. Mary smiled at her thoughts. Now she thought of everything she's done to Anna, she doesn't for once regret it. If give a second chance she would do it all over again.

"What a heartless demon. That girl is evil it's a good thing Mack did end up with her." Veronica spat. She couldn't believe she has once wanted her son married to Anna.

"How did your meeting go Mack." Nari asked and Mack who came to seat next to her shrugged.

"It went great. It seems Mr Declan wants to short down the entire company and rebuild it. But whatever he buits I still have my shares in it." Mack smiled. Thought he had sold his father's company, he didn't completely sell all of it as he demanded for a 2% shares in the company.

Whatever it was Mr Declan wanted to build there, he would be a part of him. To him, this is the biggest business move he has ever made.

"How did your check up go?" Mack used his hands to remove a few strands of hair getting into Nari's eyes as he spoke to her. Veronica could not help but smile at their action. She was happy her son has found the right woman.

On being reminded about the pregnancy, Nari turned a little sad but she smiled. Ever since she found out there was someone else in this country that was richer than Mack Yong, she suddenly didn't want to be with him anymore.

She wanted the biggest fish in the sea. The one that had attended the auction. From her findings they had told her it was none other than Noah Declan. The dark man was there in flesh and blood but she couldn't see his face. No ordinary person has.

He was there with a woman. Once she finds out who that lucky woman is, she would be one step closer to him.

That was one of the reason she had visited Mack at the office earlier. She thought she would see Noah Declan, but unfortunately his assistant had arrived.

"The doctor said I've been stressed a lot lately and that I need rest..." she trailed remembering the embarrassment she had received today from other nursing mothers. They all gossiped and looked at her like she was the greatest sinner in the world.

Nari frowned at her thought and then turned to Mack, "I know doctor Austin have been the Yong's family doctor for years, can I visit someone else?'

"No!! Veronica quickly said.

"Austine was the one that helped me while I was pregnant with Mack and I promised him that my family and generation will never visit any other doctor except him." Veronica frowned at her daughter in law.

She was tired of telling Nari this story over and over again on why she couldn't change doctor Austine. It's like Nari has decided to turn deaf to her words.

She eyed Nari suspiciously.

"I'm sorry I forgot about that mother. Then can I arrange a private meeting with him alone?" Veronica chuckled.

"You're so used to VIP treatements that you no longer know what a normal life is now my dear. When you mingle with other pregnant women you get to hear their experiences and learn a thing or two from them." Veronica explained.

"I don't want that. Learning from you is enough." She didn't know how to tell her mother In law about the mistreatment she gets from those women.

"I'll look up on a good place we can go one vacation to rest for a while. You'll need to stay off the internet for some time too. Probably till you've successfully given birth."

"I can't." Anna shook her head. What if the time she decides to take some rest Anna returns? She could think take the risk.

"What do you mean you can't. You need the vacation Nari."

"I can manage. I will rest here maybe twice a week." That was better than leaving her work for months. She'd rather lose the child than lose her job.

Just as they talked Mack's phone beeped.

"Sir we just found out general Sui is seriously sick." He smiled at the information...
