104. Meeting The Parents 2

Mordecai.

I see the look in his eyes and he doesn't believe me when I said I have found Caesar's weakness, he doubts me. Whatever happened to him out there with Caesar had turned him into a completely different person, he seems cautious and rational anytime I say his name; for the first time since I have known him, I see fear in his eyes— I have never seen him in this state before.

The man I know has always held his head high and had never shown a weak side of himself even when he is in pain, but the man I stand before at this moment is showing his emotions before me without even realizing it.

He is vulnerable before me and I am caught off guard so much so that I begin to feel his pain, I begin to feel his agony, I want to fight for him, I want to take his pain away.

I want to hold him, I want to shield him, I want to fight his battles even if I have to face Caesar myself, I want to stand up for him even if I die trying.

Centuries.
