The next Mrs. Xu

Xu Jingli made all the payments and then went over to sit next to Chen Mumu. Her tears had dried yet fresh ones still appeared. He offered her a handkerchief. It was very white and clean, "Wipe your tears, everything is going to be okay."

Chen Mumu took it and wiped her tears. She was silent. Her body also started shivering due to the cold. She held her hands together to try and generate some heat but the cold was still biting. Xu Jingli could not stare any longer. He took off his jacket and gently wrapped it around her, "Your mother is in surgery, it would be weird if she came out of it and found you sick."

Chen Mumu felt warm immediately. Her face also heated up slightly. She coughed and looked away but she did not take the jacket off. Just then Xu Jingli's phone rang. He looked at it and then disconnected the call. It rang again and this time, Chen Mumu spoke, "It seems urgent, go pick it up.'

It was like an order. This was something Xu Jingli was not used to. He listened anyway. He got up and walked away to pick the phone. It was his dad calling.

As soon as he did, his father's displeased voice filtered through, "Where are you."

Xu Jingli coughed, "Hospital."

His father's tone changed, "Did something happen?"

Xu Jingli thought for a second and then, "My mother-in-law is sick. She is getting treatment. I came to see her."

The other side was silent for a few seconds before a woman's voice was heard yelling, "WHAT?"

While all this was happening this side, the energy from another side was not as good and calm as here.

Chen Xu was livid. She was hysterical and almost mad. Her mascara was smudged and her ugly plastic surgery could be seen after all her make-up had been washed off by her tears. She looked like an ugly witch!

The maids from the Chen Family all stood in a line and watched in silence as she ripped everything apart and broke all the glass cutlery in the kitchen. They were not allowed to speak yet they would still be the ones to clean up the mess after the young madam was done letting off her steam!

Xia Fei rolled her eyes, "You should stop acting like a child! Jiang Lei is still yours if you do all the necessary things that I taught you a long time ago! It worked the first time and it will surely work another time!"

Xia Fei had no shame stating so loudly that she was the one who taught Chen Xu how to seduce men.

Jiang Lei's family was significantly rich and he was the heir. If everything went according to plan then he would be one of the most richest people in the country!

When she heard that Chen Mumu was dating such a formidable man, her eyes clouded in jealousy and that was how she coached her own daughter to steal Jiang Lei away from Chen Mumu!

What made their plan easier was that Jiang Lei was easily swayed by women and Chen Xu also had hatred for Chen Mumu. This fuelled her to steal Jiang Lei at all costs yet the day that they were going to get their happily ever after, someone maliciously ruined the event!

Chen Xu took a plate from the cupboard and threw it down. The poor thing crashed into many pieces on the floor, "AAAAAAH!" She screamed. "Just a few minutes more and he would be mine forever yet that ugly Chen Mumu just had to come in and destroy everything!"

Everyone who was in the room would say that she was lying. She was caught cheating, Jiang Lei was caught cheating and this was the reason for their break up yet she so easily blamed it on someone else! This was so shameful!

Xia Fei was already tired of witnessing all these, "I will personally deal with Chen Mumu. How dare she ruin my precious baby's engagement night? I will ensure that she pays a price that will make her mistress of a mother come and beg me on my knees!"

She hated Chen Mumu and any chance to bring her down she would not let go of!

Hearing that, Chen Xu came down from the table and said, "How will you do that?" she only cared that Chen Mumu would be brought down, "Didn't you see it already? She already has a new man and the man is ten times better than Jiang Lei!"

Xia Fei I had of course seen it with her own eyes. Chen Mumu had introduced Xu Jingli as her new boyfriend. There was no man more formidable than Xu Jingli. This made Xia Fei burn with jealousy. She looked at Jiang Lei who was not even fit to hold Xu Jingli's pinky finger and felt angry. If there were men worthy of her daughter then Xu Jingli was just the man!

She could not believe that such a man had been snatched away by Chen Mumu!

She wondered what sort of sorcery she had used to bag Xu Jingli!

She was just a witch like that mother of hers who had seduced Chen Murong and even had a child with him. Thinking about it made Xia Fei very angry!

She swallowed and held Chen Xu's hands tightly, "You have to listen to me very carefully. Jiang Lei is gone but that does not mean that you should lose any hope! I am friends with someone who knows Xu Jingli's mother. If everything goes according to my plan, you will be the next Mrs Xu! There is no one else who will take anything that belongs to you!"

Chen Xu wiped her tears, "Really mommy?"

Her mother laughed, "Of course. That Jiang Lei was not worthy of you anyway so you should start preparing yourself for your big role. In no time, you will be able to snatch Xu Jingli from that brat Chen Mumu!"
