Proceed with plan B!

The audition was going to take place in Fire Studios. It was a studio owned by the Director of the film she was auditioning for. To make everything easier for everyone, those auditioning had been given tags and the dates they would show up.

There were many people wishing to audition and they could not audition all of them on the same day so they had been running all week!

The character Chen Mumu was auditioning for was the female lead. The female lead was known as Cai Ying and she had lost her lover during the Great War. Her cries to bring her lover back are heard by the heavens and she is given nine different lifetimes to try and find her lover. If she is unable to make him remember her then she would perish forever but if he does remember her then they would live as immortals for the rest of eternity!

In each lifetime, she finds him but he does not recognize her!

She tries very hard to be close to him but he does not want her so she has no other choice but to watch him from afar!

In the ninth life however, the lover gets a recollection of his past life and this woman who has been by his side all along and the lovers reunite. They then live together for a lifetime!

Chen Mumu liked the story so much that she wanted to be the one chosen as Cai Ying!

She took a taxi to the studios and arrived on time. Feng Yuan was already waiting for her and she seemed impatient. As soon as she saw Chen Mumu, she began, "Is this what you said about being on time? Look, everyone else is already here yet you are not!"

Chen Mumu looked around and saw that only three other actresses had shown up which meant that she was here earlier than the rest. Feng Yuan was making it seem like she had missed the audition for being very late!

Chen Mumu had learnt to ignore such careless provocations so she kept quiet.

Feng Yuan thought that she was being obedient so she snickered, "Chen Xu, the goddess of Star Wave will be here later. When she comes, you should treat her with respect and listen to everything she says! If she tells you to fetch her water then you should do that without complaining! Maybe then she will have some mercy on you and ask the director to give you a small role in the film!"

Chen Mumu almost vomited when she heard those words. What Feng Yuan was saying was that she needed to be Chen Xu's slave just so she could get a small role in the film!

She turned to Feng Yuan and stared directly inside her eyes, "I came here so that I could audition for the role of the female lead, not to be someone else's slave. If you like Chen Xu so much then how about you try doing those things that you are telling me to do!"

Chen Mumu even winked at the end!

Feng Yuan almost raised her hands to slap Chen Mumu but because there were people here, she held her anger in, "What the hell are you trying to say? Between you and I, you are the one who needs the role the most so it will be good if you stayed in your place and do what is required of you! You want to be the female lead, dream on! That role had already been given to Chen Xu a long time ago!"

Chen Mumu did not know what she did in her previous lifetime so that she got stuck with such an idiot of a manager!

She could not respond to such idiocy so she walked away and left Feng Yuan to speak alone!

She found a secluded spot and focused on mastering her lines. The lines were simple but the action was not. She had been given the part in the scene where the two lovers reunite during the ninth lifetime. It was a super sweet yet bitter moment between the two characters and it was the most important moment of the whole film.

Chen Mumu knew her actions had to be very good so that she could be believable!

On the other side, Feng Yuan watched Chen Mumu as she was engrossed in her script. She hated Chen Mumu to the core but she still knew that Chen Mumu was an excellent actress. The only thing wrong was that Chen Xu did not like Chen Mumu and this meant that she did not get resources like everyone else!

Chen Xu was the daughter of the chairman so she was treated like a queen. She was also the one with the most resources in the company. She made certain decisions like who was to be given which resource and it heavily depended on whether she like you or not!

For some unknown reason, Chen Mumu and Chen Xu never saw eyes to eye. Feng Yuan had caught them arguing a lot of times. What was strange was that everyone feared Chen Xu in the company but Chen Mumu just acted like Chen Xu did not exist!

She was very nonchalant about so many things which came off as rude to many people but this was just who she was.

Chen Mumu did not care about status and was weirdly truthful. She could hit you with the truth until you started looking for ways to change your life!

Just as she was contemplating things, she suddenly received a call and it was from Chen Xu's manager, Rui Li. She held the phone as if she had received a call from God himself!

She picked it up, "Manager Rui, what do I owe this pleasure?"

Rui Li was a very impatient man, "You owe nothing! Have you done the thing I asked you to do?"

Feng Yuan quickly went to find a secluded spot so that no one would hear their conversation, "I did but she still insists on auditioning!"

Rui Li laughed icily, "Is that so. Then we should go ahead with part two of our plan!"
