The observational room was like an interrogation booth from a police station. It had a door leading to the patient's room, and everyone inside could listen to the conversation next door. The overlooking window was also one-way, not letting Justine see them eavesdropping.

Keagan prepared to speak to her friend, her hand smoothing her clothes. After exchanging nods with Wren, she entered the room and smiled at Justine. She couldn't even stop her lips from curling into a big smile. Her eyes grew watery, but she just chuckled.

"Hey…!" Keagan made a sound first, but her tears rolled down just as fast. She went to sit on the edge of the bed, facing Justine who reached to the side for the tissue box. "Oh, thank you. I just… I never thought I'd see you like this again. Does anywhere hurt?"
