Why care about if I had an ex or not?

"Enough!" Nancy slammed the soda can onto the seamless counter with a thud. A few droplets of the content in the can spill over the counter.

"You seem to forget our deal, mother. Shall I remind you once again?" In a low voice, Nancy spoke. Like a thin thread between the threat and the consequence of the threat. Her mother clasped her lips into a thin line, her daughter was no longer an innocent one who quivered to her words after that incident.

The incident of six years ago changed everything. The soft-spoken Nancy who listened to everything she said once died that night. All left was a woman who was Named but nothing about her was like Nancy once existed. The mask she put on was so perfect even she forgot she was not that anymore.
