Twenty Nine - Auctioned Life

Sam couldn’t believe his own decision. Initially, he had no intention of taking up Calvin’s offer, but he found himself knocking on his door.

“Hey, come in, the pizza will be done soon.” Calvin greeted in a friendly tone. “So, what do you want to drink, cola or beer?”

“I think I’ll stick to cola. I don’t like to taste that bitter tea Seb made any time soon.” Sam said as he shuddered in the memory of the horrible taste. Sure it was very effective, but the taste was something out of a horror movie.

“Thinking about it makes you so sober, doesn’t it?” Calvin said with a smile.
