Chapter 16: Breaking into the Spirit Origin Realm

Another fifteen minutes passed, and a delicious aroma wafted through the air. Chu Xiaotian looked over to see the wolf meat perfectly roasted, golden and crispy, very appetizing.

The four shared the wolf meat. The first bite was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor.

"Uncle Fu, this is amazing," Chu Xiaotian complimented, unable to stop himself from devouring the meat voraciously.

"Eat as much as you like, there's plenty more," Uncle Fu responded with a smile, continuing to roast without eating any himself.

The feast lasted two hours, and they devoured every last bit of the ten wolves, including the alpha. After expressing their gratitude to Uncle Fu, everyone went their separate ways.

After the feast, Chu Xiaotian's relationship with Little Fatty and Xi'er grew stronger. The two often sent Chu Xiaotian alone into the back mountain to hunt wild animals, always reminding him which ones tasted best.

Helpless against their desires, Chu Xiaotian accepted that he was the only one in Desolate Peak who hadn't reached the Spirit Origin Realm. Both Little Fatty and Xi'er had already entered it, as well as the peak master Bai Li Xiong. As for the mysterious Uncle Fu, Chu Xiaotian knew nothing about him.

In the process of satisfying their cravings, Chu Xiaotian continuously took on many primary missions, fulfilling everyone's culinary wishes while also gaining many cultivation resources and points.

Time flew, and a month passed since Chu Xiaotian joined the Divine Sword Academy. In these two months, he became Desolate Peak's primary hunter and his cultivation level kept rising.

"Today, I will break through to the Spirit Origin Realm!"

The night deepened, with a beautiful tapestry of stars and a soft moonlight adding a unique beauty to the scenery, especially in the back mountain of Desolate Peak.

Chu Xiaotian, alone, was cultivating in the back mountain, consuming Small Spirit Gathering Pills one after another. The spiritual energy within a hundred meters... two hundred meters... and even a kilometer radius rapidly converged towards him.

Boom! A whirlpool of spiritual energy formed above him, furiously pouring into his body. Everyone at Desolate Peak had become accustomed to these phenomena and no one came to investigate.

"I need more spiritual energy," Chu Xiaotian thought, knowing he was on the verge of breaking into the Spirit Origin Realm. It marked a significant milestone on the path of martial arts.

"Weng!" With a gesture, the spiritual energy within a kilometer radius gathered towards him. The beasts in the forest trembled in fear and dared not approach.

"Is he breaking into the Spirit Origin Realm?"

Although no one from Desolate Peak came to check, they all paid attention to Chu Xiaotian's progress, amazed at his rapid advancement.

"Ding! Congratulations, host, for advancing to the Spirit Origin Realm. You have received a breakthrough gift package."

"Ding! Congratulations, host, for obtaining the Demonic Beast Compendium."

"Ding! Congratulations, host, for obtaining Alchemy Insights."

"Ding! Congratulations, host, for receiving 10,000 points."

The gift package yielded three items, with the Demonic Beast Compendium and Alchemy Insights automatically integrated into Chu Xiaotian's knowledge.

"So many points," Chu Xiaotian thought, pleased with the reward. With the new 10,000 points added to his existing balance, he now had 50,000 points in total.

Chu Xiaotian then accessed the system's shop, first looking at the treasure section.

"Basic Spirit Weapon: Furious Wind Sword (no special abilities); 5,000."

"Basic Spirit Weapon: Crane's Cry Light Bell (defensive weapon, no special abilities); 10,000."

"Basic Spirit Weapon: Red Jade Giant Silver Armor (defensive inner armor, can withstand a full-strength blow from a ninth-stage Spirit Origin Realm practitioner for a breath's duration); 20,000."

...

After reviewing the basic spirit weapons and finding the ones with special abilities too expensive, he checked the intermediate and advanced spirit weapons but found the cheapest one required 50,000 points.

He then looked at divine techniques and martial skills, only to find the cheapest divine technique required a million points, and high-level Yellow martial skills cost 30,000 points, too expensive for him.

Lastly, he browsed the spirit beasts section, which was even more extravagant.

Chu Xiaotian was faced with a dilemma on how to best utilize his 50,000 points.
