Chapter 411: Construction

"Whoa, whoa, that terrifying bear… it was taken down just like that?"

Kaeya watched as the massive golden figure dissipated, a hint of surprise in his voice.

He knew the Honorary Knight was strong, but he hadn't expected them to be this powerful.

"His only real talent is fighting," Paimon quipped with a shrug.

"Oh, how could that be? I think the Honorary Knight is quite exceptional!" Kaeya chuckled.

"Kaeya, the monsters are starting to riot. It's our turn to act," Albedo reminded him.

With the death of the king-tier Shadow Bear leader, the entire Shadow Bear territory erupted into chaos!

Unlike most creatures that instinctively flee from danger, these Shadow Bears didn't cower after witnessing their leader being slain by such an overwhelming force.

Instead, it was as if their minds had been consumed by rage. They ignored the sheer difference in power and charged recklessly at Nolan in a frenzied swarm.

Nolan, however, remained unfazed. He was hovering mid-air, making it impossible for them to surround him.

In fact, it worked in their favor—by acting as the primary target, he drew the Shadow Bears' attention, allowing Jean and the others to contain them more easily.

Still, there were some particularly strong and unruly "troublemakers" among them—those had to be eliminated. After all, they were valuable sources of Adventure EXP and couldn't go to waste.

"Creation Art: Rock-Sealing Barrier!"

Thanks to the enhancement from Nolan's "Land of Dandelions" ability, Albedo effortlessly summoned large-scale Geo walls, trapping all the Shadow Bears within.

"As expected of the Chief Alchemist. Well then, I suppose I'll show off a little as well," Kaeya remarked, smiling lightly.

He removed his Shadow Bear disguise, drew a one-handed sword, and infused it with frost. The blade turned into an icy weapon, which he used to strike at the stronger Shadow Bears within the horde.

The elite Knights of Favonius followed close behind. On their own, they would have struggled against the Shadow Bears. Even with Nolan's enhancements, they still had their limits.

However, by coordinating with Kaeya, they were able to fight with ease.

Jean, dressed in her white high-heeled boots, took a step forward. Countless green dandelions floated down like snowflakes.

These dandelions, formed from pure Anemo energy, acted as vortexes of wind, ensnaring any Shadow Bear that came into contact with them.

The dandelions' binding strength was calibrated perfectly—those who could break free were precisely the ones that needed to be dealt with.

A total of thirteen Shadow Bears managed to escape the restraints. They were all between Level 70 and 80—exceptionally powerful foes.

Kaeya and the others couldn't handle all of them alone, so Eula and Lumine joined the fray, their sharp longswords slicing through the battlefield.

From high above, Nolan extended several semi-transparent tendrils, restraining the majority of the enemies.

With that, the Shadow Bears stood no chance of turning the tide. Before long, they were completely defeated!

Adventure EXP Gained:

+26,552

+30,252

+25,623

The notifications for gained Adventure EXP kept popping up on Nolan's character panel.

He already had over 100,000 Adventure EXP before this. With the 130,000 gained from defeating the Shadow Bear leader and the recent influx of 20,000 to 30,000 at a time…

Before long, his total Adventure EXP had reached 350,642!

As expected, farming Adventure EXP in the Beast Realm was much easier. The creatures here were generally stronger, meaning they provided significantly more XP.

"Very well, this territory is basically under our control now."

Albedo glanced at the hundreds of Shadow Bears bound by Jean's Anemo restraints and let out a quiet sigh of relief.

He had always been deeply invested in exploring the Beast Realm. After all, his master, Rhinedottir, had vanished after leaving him in Mondstadt under Alice's care.

Since the Beast Realm was where she had created the Abyssal Beasts, it was possible—however unlikely—that she had come here.

Even if the chances were slim, it was still worth investigating.

"Ahh, it's been a long time since I've worked up such a sweat! This kind of exhilarating battle really gets the blood pumping!"

Kaeya spun his sword stylishly before sheathing it, then wiped his forehead. Though he spoke as if exhausted, the relaxed smile on his face made it clear that these Shadow Bears were hardly a challenge for him.

Descending from the sky, Nolan chuckled and said,

"Captain Kaeya, since you wield Cryo, why not use a bit of cold air to cool yourself down? That way, you won't have to sweat and get your clothes all damp—wearing them afterward would be uncomfortable."

"Haha, Honorary Knight, I already thought of that long ago~" Kaeya replied with a smirk.

"Alright, since we've successfully taken over this Shadow Bear territory, let's move on to the next phase of our plan."

Seeing that everyone had regrouped safely, Jean let out a small breath of relief before continuing,

"Albedo, Lumine, since you both have mastery over Geo, I'll have to trouble you with the construction work here."

"Of course, no problem," Lumine and Albedo both nodded in agreement.

"As for Kaeya and the rest of you, you'll be in charge of patrolling the perimeter for now. More reinforcements will be arriving to join you later."

Jean turned to Kaeya and the Knights of Favonius standing behind him, giving out orders.

Since they had decided to turn the Shadow Bear territory into a frontline base for exploring the Beast Realm, it was necessary to assign people to patrol and defend against incoming threats.

However, the Knights of Favonius alone wouldn't be enough to both guard the base and explore the Beast Realm.

Thus, once the base was properly built, the Knights planned to collaborate with the Adventurers' Guild, recruiting elite adventurers to assist in the exploration of this foreign world.

This would help address the manpower shortage faced by the Knights of Favonius.

"Haha, no problem at all! A business trip to another world sounds pretty interesting," Kaeya said, clearly intrigued by the Beast Realm.

"As for you, Nolan, leave your Avatar stationed here. If a powerful monster attacks, we might lose this valuable Shadow Bear territory without you."

Jean crossed her arms and looked at Nolan.

Nolan nodded slightly. He had already planned to leave his "Sword God of Lumine" Avatar in the Beast Realm to farm XP, so keeping an eye on the base was no trouble at all.

"Lastly, Eula, you'll be returning to Mondstadt with me. Since Albedo and Kaeya will be staying here for a while, the city will temporarily lose two of its key combatants.

"That means you can't remain here as well. If Mondstadt is left without its Chief Alchemist, Cavalry Captain, and Reconnaissance Captain all at once, the city will be dangerously unprotected."

Jean explained to Eula.

"Whatever, I never had much interest in this whole 'otherworldly' business anyway," Eula replied nonchalantly, folding her arms under her chest.

With everyone's tasks assigned, the group quickly got to work.

Time flew by as they busied themselves, and before they knew it, half a day had passed.
