CHAPTER FIFTY FOUR: Disowned

"Nothing." Diana said stuffing her face with her food, John stared at her intently as if he was trying to see through her entire being to know if she's telling the truth.

"Why are people apologizing to her then, if nothing happened as you said." John questioned raising his eyebrows at Diana as she started coughing violently, while looking for water to drink, meanwhile, John didn't budge at all.

"Father!" Mirabel's sweet voice sounded throughout the house, as John's face immediately softened hearing his daughter's chirpy voice.

"Where are have you been? Do you know how long I've been back? I was just asking your mother after you." John queried immediately switching his aura from a calm, elegant old man to a man who is just happy to see his daughter.

The look on his face showed pride and nothing more nothing less, for this girl he is willing to do a lot.
