CHAPTER EIGHTY-NINE: Drama

Mason sat in the study staring at the picture on the table, he removed his golden rimmed glasses using the back of his hands to clean his eyes that were now fiery red.

The morning sun peeked through the curtain demanding an audience but the solemn mood in the room struggled to over power it.

"Grandpa?" Mason turned to see his two grandchildren staring at him, one had a cold gaze and the other staring at him with an innocent look on her face.

"Come here children." Mason gestured at them to come to him, their parents has ran off somewhere again in their love drunkenness.

Mason sighed, although he isn't quite pleased with the start off of their story, but it hoped they finished the story they started together.

"Is that that grandma?" Anna asked titling her head to the side as she stared at the picture.

Mason immediately snapped out of his daze to realize he had been staring at the picture once more, why was it so difficult to let it go?
