Difficult People

The Colombians were being difficult. It was something Maria and Gio had anticipated when he had decided to send her abroad to meet with them.

They were being hard headed on things that could have easily been resolved over the phone. But where they had their tenacity, Maria had infinite patience. It did not matter how hard they struggled, or how much dust they kicked up, Maria would out wait them. And when they were well and truly tired, and finally realizing that she had backed them into a corner, she take not only her familia's share in the deal, but also a healthy share of the Colombian stake.

She was the Romano consigliere afterall, it was what she did. So patience it was, her claws sheathed as she watched her Colombian counterpart trying to dance circles around her.

Maria's intent was to keep the game going as it was. With the Colombians thinking that they had the upper hand, until the day she revealed all of her cards and showed them that they did not.
