Chapter 39: Nue's Birth- 1

When the seal placed on the first guardian pillar is broken, a powerful aura of fear bursts out of the guardian pillar, which starts to crumble from inside.

Feeling the aura of fear being released made many lower-level yokai who were present there stiffen their backs.

They couldn't move.

They could feel the density of the fear emitting from the smoke where the first guardian pillar collapsed.

Their whole body started to shiver when bright red eyes lit up amid the huge amount of smoke before them.

A small shadow of someone with four arms walking towards them, which becomes bigger and bigger as the shadow approaches them.

A huge laughter came from it, which shook the surroundings.

The one who came out of the smoke with a huge body is Tsuchigumo.

Tsuchigumo is a monstrous figure with multiple arms. He towers over Yokai and humans alike.

He originally had six arms but lost two in the past when he fought against Nue, who is Seimei, who changed his name when he was creating his faction after using his mother's heart to become powerful.

He has long red hair, and his face resembles a gruesome horned mask.

"You can join my clan, Tsuchigumo."

Seeing the one who was sealed inside the first guardian pillar is Tsuchigumo, even Hagoromo Gitsune becomes surprised and invites him to join her clan.

"Huff~"

With smoke from his huge nostrils, Tsuchigumo shook his head with no interest in joining Hagoromo Gitsune's clan.

"I have no real reason to follow you... unless I will be able to fight strong opponents in the process."

Seeing the golden opportunity before him, Jizo's big eye in the middle of his forehead gleamed happily and proposed a condition to fool the muscle-head yokai before him.

Tsuchigumo is someone who fought against his master Nue and drew the fight, which he considers a big achievement, and starts plotting his game with Tsuchigumo.

Even though Tsuchigumo is strong, he is a simple-headed muscle freak who only thinks about fighting.

So fooling him will be very easy as per Jizo's standards of manipulation.

As expected, Tsuchigumo, after pondering for a few seconds while smoking using his favourite smoking pipe with one of his hands, agreed to help them.

Taking a single side glance at Jizo, who was overjoyed, Hagoromo Gitsune left towards the second guardian pillar.

Without paying any attention to the conversation taking place between Tsuchigumo and Jizo, she left.

When the final seal broke and the final guardian pillar also collapsed, the final yokai sealed in the second guardian pillar was released.

The yokai seal in the final seal is Ibaraki-Doji.

Ibaraki-Doji is a yokai in the form of a man, with half of his face covered by wood.

He is one of the most loyal yokai who follows Hagoromo Gitsune.

thud~ boom~

With a thud, a figure fell from the sky, which startled everyone who was caught off guard.

"I kept my word, Hagoromo Gitsune... when the time comes, you need to keep yours."

A voice came from the smoke created by the heavy landing, which soon cleared and revealed Leo, who was smirking at her.

"You came at the right time, Leo-Kun... witness the birth of my son."

With a giggle, a dark matter started to form around Hagoromo Gitsune, forming a circle covering her body parts below her wrist.

Following Leo, other important people too landed, such as Rikuo, Yura, Nurarihyon, Inugamigyobu Danuki, Masatsugu Keikain, Akifusa Keikain, Pato Keikain, and other clan leaders.

Leo asked Mavis, Kejoro, and Setsura to wait on the yokai ships along with others to wait for further command from him.

Initially, he only wanted to bring yokai who were clan leaders and Onmyoji who were chosen, but Rikuo protested that he wanted to come along.

When Yura heard Rikuo joined him and wanted to come along.

So, with the persuasion of Nurarihyon and the elders, he agreed to let them join in.

From the moment Rikuo and Nurarihyon landed, their eyes fell on Jizo.

Immediately their killing intent flared up.

Their dark aura of fear, along with killing intent, started to press Jizo, who was caught off guard by their sudden change in demeanour.

sigh~

"How can I forget your face... sorry for not remembering you, Yamabuki."

Finalising without any interference from Jizo's manipulation, Nurarihyon, who got the full look of Hagoromo Gitsune, sighed in disappointment, remembering his daughter-in-law.

Hearing Nurarihyon calling her Yamabuki Otome instead of Hagoromo Gitsune, she frowned and a few images flashed through her mind.

Soon, she shook it off to clear her mind.

When the black matter started to get bigger each minute, it started to absorb the strong souls the Kyoto yokai had collected all this time.

Her clothes got torn apart, revealing her pale white body exposed.

Seeing this, Leo moved towards her, taking a cover to shield her body but was stopped by Jizo, who eyed him worriedly.

Rumble~

With a flash of electric arc, Leo vanished from his place and appeared beside Hagoromo Gitsune and covered her body with it.

"I don't care..."

Seeing Leo covering her body with a piece of cloth, Hagoromo Gitsune retorted coldly.

"I care..."

Not waiting for her to answer, Leo turned and moved back to the place where he was previously standing.

The dark matter started to get bigger and bigger; now, it was bigger than the guardian pillar.

"What is it?"

Yura, seeing the size getting bigger and bigger, asked Rikuo in a low voice.

"It might be related to our son."

Shaking his head, Rikuo stated his guess in a low voice, seeing the dark matter before him looking like a huge mass of flesh.

After waiting for a full two hours...

The huge mass of black flesh started to take shape and slowly decreased in size.

When a huge baby made of black flesh formed, everyone present looked at the scene in shock.

"MOM..."

An erratic baby cry resonated throughout the city, sending shivers down the spine of anyone who heard this disturbing baby voice.

"MOM..."

"MOM..."

The huge baby made of black flesh started calling Hagoromo Gitsune "mom" continuously while she smiled at the baby with motherly love.

Jizo, who had finally been able to witness his master's resurrection, couldn't control his joy and shouted happily, jumping crazily like a little kid.

The black flesh started to emit golden light and began to take an adult human form with blond hair.

While the black matter shattered like glass, which fell all over.

When Hagoromo Gitsune looked at the shattered pieces, many memories of her as Yamabuki Otome and how she killed Rihan with her own hands flashed through her mind.

Seeing this, Hagoromo Gitsune was shocked because according to her memory, she was just possessing this body. So, why was she remembering these memories of the body she possessed?

She was very confused as to why she was remembering these memories.

"You are remembering them because those were your memories. So, you will remember them."

She heard Leo's voice, who was calmly looking at her from his place, not moving an inch.

If these are her memories, then why does she clearly remember possessing this body?

That was the only thought in her mind while looking at the memory fragments displayed on the shattered pieces.

Not only her, but everyone present could clearly see Yamabuki Otome's memories from the shattered pieces, which further made them believe that what Leo said to them was true.

Seeing this, Rikuo was shaking with anger while looking at Jizo with hatred. He wanted to kill this old fucker before him and tear him apart.
