Carry out the legacy.

In the evening, the elves were celebrating around the campfire in the center of the village. A meal of various vegetables was prepared with flavors, as well as stews of various animals prepared by the village's skilled elf chefs. Mariel and Beatrix ate with the other elves, their faces filled with happiness.

"This mixed vegetable salad and the special sauce are so delicious. I've never eaten anything like this before." Mariel praised.

"This beef stew taste is very good, it's really delicious." Beatrix also praised, causing the group of elves to smile and accept their compliment with joy.

Suddenly,

Mariel seemed to have remembered something, because she seemed to remember that the Elves usually eat only vegetables and grains as their main food.

"Don't the Elves only eat vegetables, fruits, and grains, right?" Mariel asked curiously.

"If it were in ancient times, yes. But now, there have been many changes in our history. If we didn't eat meat, when we held swords and weapons, we wouldn't have the strength to fight other tribes. So, we started changing our eating foods since the Middle Ages of our generations." Mania explained.

"I agree with this. People need strength and energy, or else they won't be able to fight other races." Mariel said.

Everyone was chatting happily. The Elves, who had been keeping to themselves and not interacting with other tribes, were starting to be friendly to the Humans. Elf Elder Karim even made Mariel and Beatrix to be the village's most important guests.

"If something happens, please tell Mania. We always come to help you." Mariel said.

"Thank you very much, both of you. It's really a great fortune for the elves of this small village to meet such kind persons like you." Said by the chief Elf Karim, who praised them, causing the two girls to blush.

Late at night, all the other elves had already gone to bed. The three girls continued to sit and chat, seeing the peaceful atmosphere of the village, this made them not want to go to sleep at this moment.

"The weather is nice, cool and warm, I really love your village." Beatrix said.

"It was a blessing from Elf Christine. She has always protected this village. At that time, she was quite famous but as I said, our Elf race has always been looked down upon. In history, we were just a small, weak race, had skilled only in healing magicians. Many Elves tried to become swordsmen, magicians who shot more powerful magic, etc., but in the end, we could not compete with Humans or other races. But at least, we can be proud of our healing elf class." Mania said.

Mariel remembered Elf Erin who lived in the big tree next to her house, so she talked about her story to Mania and Beatrix, causing the two girls to feel sympathy for Elf Erin's fate.

"In the past, no matter how hard many elves tried, they were only accepted by a small group. As the first female elf in the village who studied the number one of magical school, I vow to make a name for myself among the elves and becomes the best healer Elf in the history." Mania said with confidence.

"With all of us, your dream will definitely come true, Mania." Mariel said encouragingly.

"But will I be able to achieve that goal?" Mania said with a worried look on her face.

"You can do it…" A mysterious voice sounded from behind them.

When Mariel, Beatrix, and Mania turned around to look for someone behind them, they were shocked to see who was standing there.

"Elf Christine!" Mania said with delight and quickly knelt for respect, while her two friends were doing the same thing.

"Thank you." Elf Christine said with a smile.

Elf Christine is 180 centimeters tall with long, beautiful, golden hair. She appears with a legendary healing staff called the Heavenly Heal Staff, which is buried under her statue at the back of the village. The three girls are still shocked when they see Christine's spirit, but it's like they're talking to a real person.

"I have watched Mania grow up in this village. She may seem weak and lacks self-confidence, but what I can sense is that she has an ambition, which is her determination to our elven ideals." Elf Christine said.

"Mania is aware of the feeling of being taken advantage of by other tribes, the true feelings within the elves in this village, so I have to studied harder than anyone else to achieve the goal that everyone in the village expects." Mania said.

"That's your good point, always caring about others' feelings at first. Many times, you've tried hard to practice so that your parents and other elves in the village would be proud of you. At first, your skills might have been inferior to elves of the same age at that time, but after you tried so hard and studied hard, reviewed your books, you were able to successfully enter the number one magical school. Even I was surprised about this." Elf Christine praised.

"Mania promises that I will not disappoint you." Mania said with a promise.

Elf Christine gently stroked Mania's head with affection, then she seemed to think about something for a moment, and then she decided and spoke.

"Does Mania want to be more than just an elf healer?" Elf Christine asked.

"Mania wants to help my friends more than this, not only just healing but can fight too." Mania replied.

"Very well, then I will personally teach you some specialized skills during your summer." Elf Christine said with sparkling eyes.

"Thank you very much, Elf Christine." Mania accepted this offer with gratitude. The legendary elf appeared to teach her the skill to become stronger, such a good thing is rare.

"Very good. Every night after 11pm, you come to meet me at the statue at the back of the village, I will teach you." said by Elf Christine.

"Congratulations, Mania." Mariel said with a smile. Then, the elf Christine turned to look into her eyes with a surprised expression.

"As for you, Mariel, you are truly extraordinary." Elf Christine said.

"Why?" Mariel asked curiously.

"The Qi lines in your body are different from others, and these seem to help your learning various skills much more easily than others. By having your Qi lines twisted into one, you can easily use your physical and magical energy as if you were snapping your fingers." Elf Christine praised.

"Thank you very much." Mariel replied, feels embarrassed.

"For my suggestion, how's about practicing the shield barrier skills from the sword-shield class. It should be quite useful for you and your friends in the future." suggested by Elf Christine.

Mariel suddenly thought about this. The idea was very interesting. She was amazed at Elf Christine's insightful comments.

"Thank you very much. I will learn this technique in the second year of my studying." Mariel happily replied.

"As for you… Beatrix, your magical power is amazing. Keep practicing. If it is possible, practice ice magic specific skills from other Professors. It will help you become more powerful." said by Elf Christine.

"Thank you very much for your suggestion." Beatrix replied.

After that, they told many stories until 2 am, which was the right time to go to bed.

"Well then, it's time to go to sleep. We'll meet again when we have a chance. I really enjoyed talking with all of you." Elf Christine said with a smile.

"We also thank to Elf Christine for giving us great experiences and new ideas." Mariel said.

"Thank you very much too." Beatrix and Mania also said.

The three of them went back to Mania's house to sleep, while Elf Christine walked back to her own statue with a happy smile.

In the late morning, because they stayed up late, they woke up later than the others. However, Mania's parents didn't mind because they knew that it was the first time for a human friend to visit their house, so they talked for a long-time at last night. Her parents had prepared a good breakfast of cereals for them.

"Good morning, Beatrix and Mania." Mariel greeted her friends, stretching lazily after getting out of bed.

"Good morning to you too, Mariel." Beatrix and Mania greeted each other in unison.

Then they took a shower and got dressed to go to the kitchen and eat breakfast together. After they were full, they went outside to help the elves with the garden and farm like yesterday.

However, they felt something strange. In front of the village, there was a group of people standing and negotiating with the village's representative elf. It seemed like they were arguing about something.

"Let's take a look. I think it's a bit strange over there." Mariel said, walking ahead of her two friends to join the other elves.

When the three girls entered the group of elves that surrounded them, they found that the group of people who came were humans. They seemed to be all merchants. However, when they heard that voice, they felt that it was not very impressive.

"I told you; I want to lower the price of your goods so that everything can be finished quickly!" The fat but sly-looking merchant shouted.

"You guys and our elf village have already made a contract to buy it at a fixed price. Asking for a price reduction of more than 40 % is too much for us." the male elf explained.

"40 %??? That's too much!" Beatrix said in displeasure.

"Otherwise, we will change all the contracts we made with you and we will never allow anyone to buy anything from this village again, if we got rejected." the merchant leader said angrily.

"This is not fair." the male elf negotiator said with a displeased expression.

"So what? What can you do to us? You have no choice. It's better to accept this offer." the merchant leader shouted.

While the Elves were feeling down about this situation, they were being exploited too much. The crops, fruits, and minerals that they had cultivated and worked hard to produce were being priced lower than they should have been received. It was so unfair, but if they refused, who knew what bad things would happen next.

"What do you decide? Will you accept my offer of a 40 % discount?" The merchant leader said with a smile. His other merchants all laughed with satisfaction because they clearly had the advantage of elf.

"That is…" The negotiating male elf began to give up.

"No! It's not fair to accept this!" a voice shouted from behind of elf.

"Who dares to say that!" The merchant chief shouted as he looked for this.

Suddenly, Mariel walked out and confronted the group of merchants fearlessly.

The situation that looked like they wanted to fight the others caused the other elves to panic.

"I never thought that this group of elves would have humans as their friends." the merchant leader said with a sneer.

"It's better than being with those exploitative, and inhumane people like you!" Mariel retorted fearlessly.

"Hey, you little brat!" The merchant leader said with an angry expression. The two of them stared at each other with both and no one willing to give in.

"What should we do, Beatrix?" Mania whispered in her friend's ear, but Beatrix just smiled and spoke.

"Just wait and see what things are coming next." Beatrix said.
