The reason why the Pavilion Mistress Qiuxiang Mei had wanted to Lu Qingyun and his group to stay behind for a banquet was to quietly plot against Qin Keqin.

But since Qin Keqin had left hastily, she had instead turned her attention to plot against Lu Qingyun instead.

Or rather, Lu Qingyun had always been one of her targets.

During the banquet that were hosted for Lu Qingyun, Leng Qiuyue, Ouyang Xue and Lie Xingyuan, the Pavilion Mistress Qiuxiang Mei had pretended to show her grace by showering them with plenty of pleasantries.
