Where is she?

After a long time passed, there was no response from Diana. Daisy understood the unsaid answer.

Diana was the ideal daughter of the Chen Family; she was docile, she had etiquettes, she considered their family reputation, she dropped out of medical school and pursued business because their mother wanted that, she had a standing in the socialite circle and she was perfect.

But behind all those facades was a little girl who was abused throughout her childhood and Daisy was the witness to that.

One sole night when she had seen her mother shoving a chair at her sister was the day she had stopped calling the woman her mother.

''She is our mother. And I am nothing without my surname,'' Diana whispered after some time.

Daisy frowned.

Diana sighed and promptly changed the topic, ''Where exactly did you want to take me? To your honeymoon…?" her words trailed off when Daisy narrowed her eyes.

Diana cleared her throat.

''Think of a name then.''

''Huh?" Diana was dumbstruck, ''A name? What name?"

''Name for a baby girl.''

Diana was speechless. She had never pegged her sister as someone this desperate to get married and have kids. She thought Daisy would want anything but that. B

What exactly happened to Daisy? Not only was she so eager to marry a womanizer but she had even started thinking of baby names?

''Wait! Why a name for a baby girl? Why not a baby boy?" Diana questioned.

Daisy frowned in disapproval, ''No, it has to be a baby girl's name.''

''Daisy, you don't have control over things like these. Children are god's creation. You can have a girl but it is possible that your child will be a boy…''

''Girl,'' Daisy cut her off.

''Since when did you become so sexist?" Diana looked at her, almost in disbelief.

Daisy felt a headache coming her way. She massaged her forehead as she said, ''I just want you to think of a name.''

Daisy and Diana had been raised separately so sometimes they would go for months without meeting after Daisy moved out of the Chen Mansion. In the past two years, they had been texting each other but regardless of the distance, no matter when they met, Diana never felt that her sister had changed.

Unlike today.

There was something different about Daisy Chen.

''Tell me honestly. What do you need a name for?" Diana asked suspiciously.

''For my daughter,'' Daisy declared.

Diana: "_"

Did Daisy agree to the marriage because she is ready to embrace motherhood?

She is not concerned about her future husband, but she is already thinking about her future daughter's name.

So… she is treating the third son of the Lu Family as a sperm donor?

Diana was shocked silly by her own assumptions.

...

"Ma'am, please don't move,'' the makeup artist said.

''Ma'am, please don't move,'' Si Yena mimicked before she burst out in a peal of laughter.

The sound came from Daisy's phone that was kept on speaker on the dresser.

Daisy tilted her head to look at the reflection in a mirror.

Her mother might not like her as her children but she got her one of the finest wedding gowns of the world. And the makeup artists arranged by Alice matched her makeup with the intricacies of the gown.

Daisy raised her hand to touch her cheek. She looked so different that she did not look like herself anymore.

''Ma'am, don't you find yourself stunning?" The makeup artist could not hold her compliments when she saw the awe on Daisy's face, ''But to be honest, the credit goes to you. You already have the best features…''

''It seems like your makeup is already finished,'' Si Yena who was listening silently on the phone spoke up suddenly, ''Show me.''

Daisy picked her phone and saw the facetime request. She swiped it up.

Si Yena paused briefly when she saw Daisy. A moment of silence before she smiled widely, ''You look so beautiful.''

Daisy looked at herself in the mirror again, ''You can leave now,'' she turned to the makeup artist.

''But ma'am, I have to do some touch ups. This would be too simple.''

Daisy pulled a card from her bag and handed it to the woman.

''Ma'am, this…?" the makeup artist's eyes bulged out, ''I have already been paid.''

''Keep it.''

''Thank you,'' the woman repeatedly thanked Daisy as she left the room merrily after receiving the bonus.

''Woah! Did you hit a billion dollar kind of jackpot?" Si Yena chirped.

''Not yet,'' Daisy had been doing odd jobs since her university days and some of them did earn her enough. But her highest paying job till date was being Ryle Harper's secretary.

The man was an anomaly. Yet, regardless of anything, she would not have quit the job given the huge amount of money it brought her if not for her circumstances.

The bonus for the makeup artists did dig a hole in her wallet but she had to do things that had to be done.

''Back to Earth, Daisy!"

Daisy snapped out of her reverie.

''You have yet to show me your wedding hall,'' Si Yena frowned, ''To think that you are my best friend but I still have to watch your wedding like this,'' the woman complained.

Daisy walked out of her room and flipped the camera, displaying the grand hall that was decorated with orchids. Her gaze scanned the place once before she looked at her friend who had stopped speaking.

Si Yena seemed to be in a daze as she witnessed the magnificent view in front of her.

''Where is she?" Daisy questioned, walking back to her room.
