Staring daggers

Initially, Logan had tried to ignore the heavy gaze on him but with the passage of time, it seemed to be more and more piercing.

He turned to find Ryle staring at him unblinkingly.

Logan paused, "Mr. Harper, I didn't notice you earlier," he greeted the man, thinking that the person had gotten displeased over his lack of greeting.

It was fine he had not greeted him but now that he was greeting him and looking at him with that faintly helpless gaze, Ryle scoffed in his mind.

Is this vixen pretending to be in a helpless situation to get Daisy's attention?

Alert and on guard, he pushed himself to his feet, "No need. I was just thinking that it is not necessary that family have to address each other by their first names. After all, you both have not interacted much with each other so that makes sense…"

Daisy looked at Ryle with a grateful gaze for helping her out of the awkward situation.
